Who is Flurry In Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Flurry is a hamster villager with a Normal personality in the Animal Crossing games. Her first appearance was on New Leaf, and she has continued to join the character cast in all the released games since then.
You can definitely have her as a villager in New Horizons!
Flurry’s Name
Her English name is possibly derived from snow flurry, which is what you call when there is only light snowfall happening.
Her original Japanese name, Yukimi, is also a snow-related name, with yuki (雪) the character of snow and mi (見) meaning “to view or see”.
Both names are very dainty and beautiful, just like her! And I’m sure Flurry would love to watch the snow with you.
Flurry’s Looks
Flurry is a teeny tiny hamster! Hamster villagers are one of the smallest characters in the game, and they all have round bodies, small roundish ears, and stubby legs and arms.
With Flurry, her snow theme continues with her physical traits. Her coat is as white as snow, and the color of her eyebrows and the tips of her hands and feet is a cool bluish hue.
She looks pretty cozy with her red Flower Sweater. When it’s drizzling, she takes her Snowflake Umbrella with her, which is another appropriately snow-themed item for her!
She also has round eyes with tiny curled eyelashes. Her inner ears are tinted with a pink color, which matches her sweater.
Flurry’s Catchphrase
She loves saying “powderpuff” with her sentences. This is probably connected to snow flurries and how light fallen snow can seem like soft powder to the touch.
In Japanese, she says “nano desu” to end her phrases, which is a feminine and semi polite way of ending affirmative sentences.
Flurry’s Personality
As a Normal villager, Flurry is kind, pleasant, and nice to everyone. Normal villagers are called such because of their neutral stance toward the player.
Other personalities might have a harsher tone toward you, but Normal villagers always sound agreeable.
With Flurry, she gets along with most villagers and is polite with her conversations. Since she loves books, other villagers will ask her for reading recommendations.
Although they don’t often find themselves at odds with other personalities, tiny misunderstandings can happen, like how Lazy villagers can be laid-back over something a Normal villager is passionate about.
Flurry’s House
Her cozy and homey abode has a Beige Stone Roof, White Stucco Exterior, and a Blue Rustic Door. When you step inside, you’ll see Flurry’s simple yet welcoming room.
Her kitchen has a Gas Range, a set of Pot Rack hanging on the wall, and a Mini Fridge with a Dinnerware set on top.

Hamsters were just added in New Leaf and there are only nine of them in New Horizons. But among the hamsters, Flurry is regarded as one of the best, based on a few polls and reviews from different Animal Crossing communities.
Apple, Hamlet, Clay, and newcomer Marlo also join her as fan-favorite hamsters among fans. Imagine an island filled with hamster villagers!
Chance To Get Flurry in Animal Crossing
Your two starter villagers will have Big Sister and Jock personalities, so there’s no chance to get Flurry immediately.
You will have to go to Mystery Islands, wait on your Campsite, invite a Flurry “in boxes” from someone else’s island, or simply buy her Amiibo card.
With Mystery Islands, the game uses a system where it picks species first before personality.
If you get lucky and the game picks hamster and then Normal, you will definitely get Flurry since she is the only Normal hamster.
What You Need to Get Flurry in Animal Crossing
This cute ball of fluff enjoys Elegant and Cute styles and is quite fond of the colors red and pink.
For her birthday, which is on January 30, try to give her a red Heart Apron or a pink Aran-Knit Cardigan as a gift!
