Animal Crossing New Horizons is our beach getaway in the digital world. So it’s no surprise that a lot of us want our beaches in the game to look fun and fabulous.
Sadly, terraforming and designing can get our brains all tired and out of ideas.
Well, set your beach worries aside! We present to you 10 Animal Crossing beach ideas to tide you over.
From tiki bars to glamorous mermaid beaches – Tom Nook will be impressed.
Animal Crossing Beach Ideas
1. Beach With Lighthouse
Adding a road or walkway with railings can make your beach stroll feel like it’s something from real life. Add in a mysterious-looking Lighthouse in the distance, and you’ve got a unique beach to showcase.
Who knew that putting a Lighthouse and a Cave side by side together can upgrade the look of both of these items?
Thanks to @catalina_crossing.acnh’s idea, your Lighthouse will look like it’s on a rocky cliff and will stand out from the rest.
2. Boho Beach
If boho is more your style, @cabcrossing and @miss_acnh both have excellent ideas for your beaches.
Boho is eclectic and puts emphasis on nature, organic elements, and cultural mixes while retaining that free-spirited aesthetic. So both of these amazing artists incorporated tassels and patterns in their designs.
You can use Round Pillows for added cushions and seats on the sand. The Moroccan Footrest can serve as a mini table. And the Face Cutout Standee can be customized to look like a cozy swing!
Pattern and custom codes can be found on these artists’ pages. Don’t forget to give them some love!
3. Tiki Bar
Wanna lounge on your beach in a tiki bar? Good news – you definitely can!
Live your tiki bar dreams with these ideas from u/interrobang__, acnh.enza, and u/sleeplessegg. They all did their tiki bar huts differently, and they’re all very good, but you can take your pick.
You can use an Azumaya Gazebo with an Arched Reception Counter. There’s also the option of using a Stall and a Face Cutout Standee. Or you can keep it simple and simply use a customized Stall.
The possibilities – and the drinks – are endless here.
4. Beach Wedding Area
For those who want to live out their wedding dreams in Animal Crossing, you can definitely have your special day by the beach.
You can have Wedding Arches, Nuptial Bells, and white wooden furniture for a beach wedding aesthetic. For additional decoration, acnh.susana uses a customized Face Cutout Standee. It now looks like partitions with windows and drapes. Lovely!
5. Sun Tanning Deck
A beach vacation won’t be complete without lounging by the shore and getting that sun-kissed tan. And to have that in Animal Crossing, Twitter user @glitter_8 shows you how to easily make a sun tanning deck in the game.
With a custom design boardwalk, a Rattan End Table, a Coconut Juice to keep you hydrated, some plants, and a lot of Poolside Beds, your tanning deck is complete.
Don’t forget the sunscreen!
6. Shower and Washing Area
Ready to go dip in the pool or in the sea? Do a quick shower first! Reddit user u/Kakin_acnh built an outdoor shower and washing area near their beach.
With just some fences, Plain Sink, Clothesline, and a Cosmos Shower, you too can build this. It’s simple to execute, with items that aren’t difficult to get, but the effect on your beach is absolutely wonderful.
7. Beach Volleyball Area
Here’s something for our sporty friends – beach volleyball!
This is another ACNH beach idea that’s easy to do, even for beginners. All you need is a Volleyball and a partition you can put in the middle, like a Bamboo Lattice Fence.
Put some Bamboo Benches for the players and spectators to sit on, a Handy Water Cooler for hydration, a Festivale Garland to make the place look festive, a sign and markings on the ground – tada, a beach volleyball area!
Codes for the sign and markings can be found using MA-1115-8860-3319 and MA-1115-8860-3319.
Wanna start building it? It’s game time!
8. Mermaid Beach
Fond of the pink and purple aesthetics of the Mermaid Set? You can turn a section of your beach into a lovely area where sparkly and fabulous mermaids can hang out.
You can fence a small area with the Mermaid Fence and turn into a tiny mermaid cafe. You can also incorporate some of the Shell furniture items, like Shell Arch and Shell Lamp.
And using some custom codes, shared by u/b0baqueenx0 here, you can use pastel and mermaid patterns for your other items to match with the theme.
Live your lovely mermaid life!
9. Boat or Fish Harbor
Make your beach look like a peaceful seaside or fishing town by designing it with boats and fishing equipment. Thanks to mofu_mori, Carrie is Crossing, and gyomori8 for the ideas!
The game’s last major update introduced new items like Yachts and Fish Containers, which are perfect for this setup. Bottle Crates, Fish Containers, Fish Drying Racks, Anchor Statue, Barrels, and Wooden Boxes are also good additional details for this design.
Storefronts are excellent tiny buildings for this area. It has the right rustic feel and doesn’t take up too much space. Add in some custom wood plank paths or stone pavement codes for the finishing touch – perfect!
10. Bistro and Boardwalk by the Beach
Wouldn’t you like to just unwind near the shore, watch the sea and the sun, and have a snack and a drink? This design idea from Carrie is Crossing lets you experience that relaxing fantasy in Animal Crossing.
This ACNH beach idea incorporates similar concepts. You can have a bistro, cafe, or restaurant by the sea. Just use Bistro Tables or Small Covered Round Tables for the dining area. Don’t forget the Menu Chalkboard!
As for the boardwalk, make sure you have a custom code for a wood path since it won’t be a boardwalk without boards you can walk on. Carrie has generously shared the codes she used in her Youtube video description.
She also used a Truck customized to look like a food truck! You can add Stalls or Storefronts to add more stores on your boardwalk.
And that’s it for our featured Animal Crossing beach ideas. I hope your beaches turn out lovely!
