Foxes are passive mobs that were added in the Minecraft 1.14 update. They’re usually spawned in Taiga-related biomes and can carry a random item with them.
With a small shape, Foxes are quite fast and can even leap up to 5 blocks tall in the air.
What Do Foxes Eat in Minecraft
Foxes in Minecraft eat either sweet berries or glow berries. And that’s it! Foxes love berries in general.
You can find sweet berries by breaking berry bush in Taiga-related biomes. You can even right-click sweet berries on the ground to grow and farm them for later use.
Glow berries can be harvested on cave vines. And you can find cave vines only in lush caves, a new cave type in the Minecraft 1.18 update. You can then use one glow berry to grow it and use bone meal to constantly farm more glow berries.
Foxes fed with berries will start breeding to produce one baby fox and they’re instantly in a tamed mode. This means they will not run away from the player like before.
And if you breed a red fox with an arctic fox, the next baby fox will have a 50% chance to spawn as being one of them. Happy taming!
