Pokémon Yellow Rare Candy is a rare commodity, but what if you could get 99 of them before you leave your bedroom? What if you didn’t have to worry about wild encounters?
Pokemon Yellow Cheats add a lot of replayability and fun to our favorite Pokemon games.
So, take these Pokemon Yellow Codes, add them to your favorite Emulator, and have a blast, on me!

Pokémon Yellow Cheats (GameShark)
I’m going to go over my favorite Pokemon Yellow ROM cheats, ones that I use when I’m feeling burnt out or just want to goof off.
These Pokemon Yellow cheat codes are for the GameShark, which is supported by most Gameboy emulation software (or a physical Gameboy and GameShark if you’re lucky).
Permanent Repel
This is one of the mildest, yet most useful Pokemon Yellow cheat codes. With this code, you’ll never fall victim to a series of annoying wild Pokemon encounters.
This is especially useful for long routes full of encounters, like caves and forests.

Walk Through Walls
Walkthrough any wall in the game.
Warning: Walking too far off of the map crashes the game quite often in my experience.

Infinite Rare Candy
Simply enter these two codes and you will receive 40 Rare Candy in your inventory.
If you run out, just enter the code again and you will receive them again.
Warning: I had trouble using this code too early. Wait until after you’ve received your Map and can shop at the PokeMart.

Infinite Money
As the name implies, this code gives you 999999 Pokedollars. I haven’t experienced any bugs with this code, and you can use it as often as you’d like. Although once will probably be enough.

Infinite Master Balls
This code adds Master Balls to the Pokemart (shown above) and sets their cost to 0. This means you can buy up to 99 Master Balls and Re-Up anytime you’d like.

Steal Pokemon
Wanna get back at Team Rocket for all of the times they tried nabbing Pikachu?
Maybe you just need better Pokemon to use those Master Balls on?
Either way, this code has you covered. It lets you use Pokeballs of any kind during battle, and trainers will no longer swat them away.

All Badges
As you can see, this code adds every badge to your trainer card. There are not a lot of uses for this code unless you just like experimenting or skipping straight to the end of the game.

Give Pikachu Surf
While this doesn’t give your Pikachu a Surfboard like some of my favorite cards, it still allows you to Surf around on your Pikachu which is pretty awesome.
If you want to Surf on Pikachu early, you still need the 8th Gym Badge, which means you need to beat the leader or use the All Badges code.
Each code below relates to one of Pikachu’s four moves. So you can replace any of his moves you’d like. You can even replace them all!

How to use Pokemon Yellow Cheat Codes (On an Emulator)
How you use Pokemon Yellow cheats depends on how you are playing the game, but I’ll assume that you are using an Emulator like MGBA or VisualBoy Advance.
If you’d like to use these cheats on a real, physical copy, you’re going to need to purchase a GameShark that is compatible with Gameboy games and enter these codes into it.
If you are using an Emulator, add Pokemon Yellow cheat codes to your game by finding the toolbar at the top and clicking:
Tools > Cheats > List cheats > Add New Cheat
Images from Visual Boy Advance, but very similar in most Gameboy Emulators
It’s important to note that Pokemon Yellow cheats are going to be very different from Pokemon Yellow exploits or Pokemon Yellow Hacks.
There are ways to obtain infinite rare candies, for example, without entering a single code. There’s also the infamous Missingno for the brave adventurers willing to risk their save file.
Be careful with some of these codes, and try them one at a time. Sometimes throwing in too many codes at once can crash your game. Save often, and have fun!
