We have 6 confirmed all new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. We might have more and if we do, I’ll add them on. But until then, let’s enjoy what we have and it’s beyond expectations especially considering The Teal Mask is just the 1st part of the DLC with the 2nd part, The Indigo Disk, coming up later this winter. I’m sure there’ll be more exciting new Pokemon in it. Nintendo lined up a proper double bonanza!
But here’s everything I know so far about these new Pokemon in The Teal Mask DLC.
New Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet DLC The Teal Mask
Ogerpon
New Pokemon | DLC Exclusive | Legendary
- Type: Grass/Ghost or Grass/Dark
- Ability: Unknown
- Move: Ivy Cudgel
Ogerpon is a humanoid biped Pokémon. Not much is known about it, and we’ll have to wait post-release to get more accurate info on Ogerpon.
Based on the sprouts between its toes, it is assumed to be of the Grass type, and considering how it looks, it’s either between Ghost and Dark type.
It does have a leaked move – Ivy Cudgel which causes damage and has a high chance of a critical hit.
This Pokemon will play a big role, maybe as the key antagonist, in The Teal Mask. It has a Terastallized form, where its mask gets a lot bigger and makes it look OP. But we also have leaked images of Ogerpon without the mask. So, there’s a lot to speculate. Better wait for the release date!
Poltchageist
New Pokemon
- Type: Ghost/Poison
- Ability: Hospitality
- Move: Matcha Gotcha
The matcha/green tea Pokemon first teased in the 2023 Pokemon WC, Poltchageist is a diminutive new Pokemon in the SV Pokedex.
This is a different Pokemon to Sinistea or its evolved form – Polteageist.
Poltchageist is the first-ever matcha Pokemon. It is nocturnal and hides in old houses or cool and dark places during the day. It loves to repair old broken objects with its matcha powder which also lets it drain mana or energy from those who touch or drink/eat the powder.
This matcha Pokemon has a single ability we know of so far – Hospitality. It restores some of the lost HP of its ally Pokemon although the amount or percentage is unconfirmed.
Poltchageist also has a similar signature move – Matcha Gotcha which restores HP equal to half the damage caused to the opponent. It may also cause burn although it’s unspecified on what type of Pokemon it might apply. (Soon!)
Munkidori
New Pokemon | DLC Exclusive | Legendary
- Type: Normal/Water (speculated)
- Ability: Unknown
- Move: Unknown
Munkidori is one of the Loyal Three worshiped Pokemon in Kitakami.
Based on preliminary speculation, Munkidori should be a Normal type Pokemon although since it is a Legendary Pokemon and its bluish feet and hands, Munkidori might also have Water capabilities but that is speculation.
Okidogi
New Pokemon | DLC Exclusive | Legendary
- Type: Grass/Poison (speculated)
- Ability: Unknown
- Move: Unknown
Okidogi might be the most powerful Pokemon in The Teal Mask. It’s the central figure of the Loyal Three legendary Pokemon worshiped by the people of Kitakami.
It’s big and looks serious enough to back up the demeanor with chart-busting power stats although that’s unconfirmed.
Fezandipiti
New Pokemon | DLC Exclusive | Legendary
- Type: Fire/Flying (speculated)
- Ability: Unknown
- Move: Unknown
Fezandipiti is a flying Pokemon for sure and it looks like it’s the Fire type since Munkidori is blue hence Water and Okidogi is green hence Poison.
Even without the stats, Fezandipiti will be a powerful Legendary flying Pokemon and a rare one in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. It looks graceful and almost feminine so we can expect it to have high attack stats but low defense.
Dipplin
New Pokemon | DLC Exclusive
- Type: Grass/Dragon
- Ability: Supersweet Syrup
- Move: Syrup Bomb
A new evolved regional form from Applin, Dipplin lives inside an apple with its head and tail being the only body parts outside the fruit.
Dipplin is super-strong against Water, Grass and Electric types. Its signature ability reduces each opposing Pokemon’s evasiveness when they enter battle. Another ability is Gluttony, where your Pokemon with a berry will use it at 50% health instead of 25%, an advantage at the right time.
Dipplin has a confirmed move, Syrup Bomb which lowers the opponent’s Speed stat every 3 turns.
Imagine coming up against a Dipplin with a Grass, Water, Electric or even Ground Pokemon that relies on speed. Level up a Dipplin and you might just have a secret weapon to take a handy advantage early on in battles.
This new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC releases on 13th September, and we can expect more new Pokemon to add on to the list by then as well as a complete stat & abilities report on all legendary Pokemon in this blog including where to find them and battle strat.
