With an overabundance of things to do in Genshin Impact, some players may ignore many mainstay features in the game.
One, in particular, that isn’t explained very well is the Shrine of Depths. Shrine of Depths in Genshin Impact is limited to only 10 in each region of the overworld and contains great rewards for finding and unlocking them.
Unlocking the barrier with the Shrine of Depths key will get you access to a Luxurious Chest which contains a variety of loot including Adventure EXP, Primogems, Materials, Weapons, Artifacts, and more.
There are a couple of ways to obtain Liyue Shrine of Depths keys including completing specific Domains in the region, leveling up your Adventure rank, and from World Quests.
So that’s what we’re here to do today.
For those of you who’ve got yourself a key or two and are done with all the Mondstadt Shrine of Depths chests, watch out for our list on all Geo Shrines in Genshin Impact locations, and get to looting!
Liyue Shrine of Depths Locations
To make things easier, we’ll go in the order highlighted by the route we’ve created on the interactive map.
You don’t necessarily have to follow the route exactly, but this makes it simpler to name and number each of the Genshin Impact Shrine locations in Liyue.
We’ll also include the closest landmarks as their ‘names’ for clarity.
Starting from No.1 which is the Liyue Shrine of Depths located next to the Dragonspire and where the route starts from, ending with No.10 on the Guyun Stone Forest Shrine.
Something to note before taking off to find these Genshin Impact Shrine locations: Liyue has a lot of mountainous areas and other difficult obstacles which may not be possible with a limited Stamina gauge.
You should try and get as many Oculi as you can before attempting to find all the Shrine of Depths.
I’ll also mention that compared to the Mondstadt Shrine of Depths, Liyue’s Shrines may need a little more exploration to find so don’t be frustrated if you get lost.
That said, let’s get straight to finding the locations of all Geo Shrines in Genshin Impact!
1. Entombed City – Outskirts Shrine
The first Shrine is located on the shore of a small lake between Liyue and the Dragonspire.
North of Mingyun Village rests a Teleport waypoint which you can use to easily access the first Liyue Shrine of Depths.
From the waypoint, head North-East and you’ll find the first Shrine.
2. Stone Gate Shrine
Towards the North-East of the “Stone Gate” area, you’ll find a narrow path and a Teleport Point.
To the East of the Teleport Waypoint, you’ll find the Shrine of Depths after climbing and going down the slight mountainous area.
3. Wuwang Hill Shrine
Appearances may be deceiving with this Shrine of Depths in Genshin Impact.
On the map, you’ll notice the marker is set on a mountainous area which can be disorienting. When I went looking for the Shrine, I figured it would be at the top.
But after a tough climb, I soon realized it wasn’t at the top and decided to scale down the mountain to find the Shrine of Depths nestled in a cave in front of a waterfall.
For this one, I’d suggest using the Teleport Waypoint west of the “Stone Gate” writing. From there head north and you’ll find the Shrine.
4. Bishui Plain Shrine
To the South-West of Qingce Village, you’ll find a lone Teleport Waypoint on a small island.
Teleport through it and start moving south and you’ll find the Shrine of Depths next to a large tree with red leaves, as showcased in the picture above.
5. Minlin Shrine
To the South of the Bishui Plain Shrine of Depths, you’ll find the Minlin Shrine close by in the middle of a maze-like hilly landscape.
It’s nestled within the maze surrounded by Treasure Hoarders so be wary of enemies. Teleport to the “Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern” Domain and head southeast.
You can follow the maze path directly from the Domain to find the Shrine without scaling the mountains.
6. Mt. Aocang Shrine
Towards the southeast of Mt. Aocang is a Teleport Waypoint close to a stream. Teleport to the waypoint, head North, and climb up the mountain.
Alternatively, you could Teleport to the Statues of the Seven located in Qingyun Peak and glide towards the North where you’ll find the Mt. Aocang Shrine of Depths.
7. Nantianmen Shrine
To the east of “Nantianmen” is a Teleport waypoint at the top of the mountain. Teleport there and make your way West, going down the mountain to find the 7th Liyue Shrine of Depths.
Alternatively, you could Teleport to the Qingyun Peak Statue of the Seven and glide towards the South and you should be able to see the Shrine atop a cliff.
8. Dunyu Ruins Shrine
To reach this Shrine you can teleport to the Waypoint to the north of Lingju Pass and climb the mountain.
But an easier way would be to teleport to the Statues of the Sevens south of the Dunyu Ruins and glide towards the north.
Run up the hill and you’ll find the Shrine to your right.
9. Lisha Shrine
Just above the Lisha Shrine of Depths lies the “Domain of the Wayward Path” Domain. Teleport to it and head South, following a stream/lake leading down into a mountain.
You’ll find the Shrine entangled by tree roots hidden inside the cave next to a Cryo Abyss Mage.
10. Guyun Stone Forest Shrine
This is one of the harder Shrine of Depths to find in the Liyue region. It’s situated on the tiniest island in the cluster of islands making up the Gunyun Stone Forest.
You can teleport to the “Domain of Guyun” and make your way southwest to the smallest island in the cluster.
You can use Cryo characters like Kaeya to traverse on top of the water without needing to swim/glide there.
And that’s it, folks! Those are all 10 of the Liyue Shrine of Depths and how to get there. You might not have some of the Teleport points available but I found it was very doable following the location straight off a map.
But as always, we want to hear what you guys have to say. Were the rewards equal to the hassle of getting to the Shrine of Depths? Let us know in the comments!
