Genshin Impact 3.8: New Combat Event

Genshin Impact, the popular action RPG from developer HoYoverse, is set to introduce a new combat event in its Version 3.8 update.

The event, dubbed “Perilous Expedition,” will offer players the chance to earn enticing rewards, including Primogems and ascension materials.

Perilous Expedition: A New Challenge

The Perilous Expedition event, which kicks off on July 27, invites players to enter a special domain and complete “Perilous Exploration” combat trials. These trials consist of three combat rounds, where players must defeat a series of enemies to earn rewards.

Players can select their characters before each round, and those who use a different party of characters in each round will receive a buff stack. The event offers four difficulty levels, with the “Dire” level being the most challenging and offering the most rewards.

Rewards Galore

The rewards for completing the combat trials in the Perilous Expedition event include Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, and ascension materials. To participate in the event, players must first complete the Song of the Dragon and Freedom Archon Quest in Mondstadt and reach Adventure Rank 20.

The event will run until August 7, giving players a 10-day window to complete the combat trials and redeem their rewards.

Preparing for Version 4.0

The Perilous Expedition event provides an excellent opportunity for players to prepare for the upcoming Version 4.0 update, which will introduce new characters from the Fontaine region. By completing the trials and redeeming new promo codes next month, players can ensure they’re well-prepared to summon these new characters to their party.

Genshin Impact Version 4.0 is expected to release in mid-August 2023, and a new Special Program live stream detailing the update’s content will be available soon.
