A recent leak has unveiled the weapons that will be featured in the second half of Genshin Impact’s current version 3.8.
Each update in the game includes two banner cycles, each lasting 3-4 weeks and featuring different limited characters and weapons.
Current Limited Character Banner
The ongoing Limited Character Banner showcases two fan-favorite characters: the long-anticipated Cryo claymore user Eula and the Pyro catalyst Klee. Players who wish to add these characters or their signature weapons to their roster have until July 25, as that’s when their banner is set to expire.
Upcoming Limited Weapons
As the game’s character pool continues to grow, it seems that every new update features two limited five-star characters. Most of these characters have a signature five-star weapon that complements their strengths and playstyle.
HoYoverse, the game’s developer, typically features five-star characters and their signature weapons within the same banner cycle. For instance, the current weapon banner includes the claymore Song of Broken Pines and catalyst The Dodoco Tales, which are weapons designed for Eula and Klee.
A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed more about the weapons that will arrive in the second half of 3.8. According to the leak, phase 2 of Genshin Impact version 3.8 will feature the following weapons:
- Tulaytullah’s Remembrance – five-star catalyst
- Everlasting Moonglow – five-star catalyst
- Favonius Warbow – four-star bow
- The Bell – four-star claymore
- Dragon’s Bane – four-star polearm
- Wine and Song – four-star catalyst
- Lion’s Roar – four-star sword
Signature Weapons for Wanderer and Sangonomiya Kokomi
Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is a five-star catalyst introduced for the renowned Anemo user Wanderer, whose banner re-run has been confirmed for Phase 2 of update 3.8. Wanderer is a unique DPS character with a specific playstyle. This weapon can be used by any catalyst user in the game whose kit revolves around Normal and Charged Attacks.
Everlasting Moonglow is another five-star catalyst that perfectly fits the playstyle of the popular Hydro user, Sangonomiya Kokomi. The introduction of the Dendro elemental reactions has completely redefined Kokomi’s place in Genshin Impact’s character meta, making her a must-have Hydro character.
However, some fans are disappointed with the four-star lineup as it consists of generic weapons that have been part of the game for a long time. Over the past few months, Genshin Impact players have been urging HoYoverse to rework the way their four-star drops work.
If you’re already done with update 3.8, you might find these five-star characters in Genshin Impact 4.0 instead.
