Is Hello Neighbor Multiplayer On Any Platform?

tinyBuild released Hello Neighbor in December 2017. And although it’s far from perfect, the game has an interesting premise. The player has to investigate their shady-looking neighbor by sneaking into his house.

The game’s AI isn’t half bad either and forces you to work around new challenges in every run. Hence, despite the abysmal critics’ reviews, Hello Neighbor has developed a cult following.

There’s no middle ground for this stealth/horror/survival game, you’ll either love it or hate it. And since Hello Neighbor 2 is almost here, we take it that the game has more fans than haters.

But, you already know most of this. So, let’s move to the important stuff.

Is Hello Neighbor Multiplayer?

Hello Neighbor is available on the following platforms:

PC
iOS
Android
Xbox One
Playstation 4
Nintendo Switch

And the game is single-player only on all these platforms.

However, because players have been demanding multiplayer for Hello Neighbor, the developers have actually responded with a whole new game.

So, even though Hello Neighbor is not multiplayer, you can team up with your friends to enjoy a spin-off called Secret Neighbor.

Secret Neighbor – The Multiplayer Hello Neighbor?

Hello Neighbor was released as a single-player game. And adding a feature like multiplayer to a game that’s available on so many different platforms.

Plus, not everyone’s asking for a multiplayer version.

So, the devs decided to leave Hello Neighbor alone and release a whole new game that’ll cater to multiplayer fans and reel in some cash at the same time.

In October 2019, tinyBuild published Secret Neighbor. Multiplayer stealth and survival game set in the Hello Neighbor universe. And since it’s multiplayer, the devs decided to spice it up a little.

Secret Neighbor – Premise

The universe is the same so the gameplay is also pretty much the same. However, the stakes are higher this time around. 6 children try to break into their neighbor’s house to rescue their friend.

While the children collect the keys, the neighbor tries to catch them all. Whoever finishes their mission first, wins.

Plot Twist- In Secret Neighbor, the neighbor can disguise himself as one of the 6 children.

So, whether you play as children or the neighbor, you’ll need to strategize much better this time around.

Is Hello Neighbor multiplayer? No.

But the alternative is just as good, if not better.

Secret Neighbor is the only way you can enjoy Hello Neighbor with your friends. And for us, the multiplayer mode and the continuous updates of Secret Neighbor make it a bigger attraction than the original.
