So, some juicy gameplay footage of Crash Team Rumble has just leaked online after a preview event by Activision and Toys for Bob.
This exciting new MOBA-style game, featuring our favorite bandicoot, was revealed last year at The Game Awards after much speculation and rumors. Previously known as Crash Wumpa League, the upcoming multiplayer party game has caused a bit of a stir amongst fans of the series.
About the new Crash Team Rumble
Crash Team Rumble will be the first game to star Crash and his pals since the well-received Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. That game came out in 2020 after a long break in the series, not counting the remasters of the first four games that launched exclusively on the original Sony PlayStation.
Its release will be on June 20, 2023, and will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Are you excited to get your hands on it and show your skills in the arena?
In fact, Crash was once considered a bit of an unofficial mascot for PlayStation until games featuring the character began appearing on other platforms.
Crash Team Rumble’s gameplay footage leaked!
Now, onto the good stuff! The leaked gameplay footage shows the closing moments of a match where the player is controlling Crash, dashing around the arena collecting Wumpa fruits while dodging a Dingodile and a Nitrous Oxide UFO. Other fan-favorite characters like Coco Bandicoot and Neo Cortex are also battling it out. Some people are really hyped about this, while others are less impressed, maybe hoping for a new mainline installment.
There are also some complaints about the price tag, with some saying that Crash Team Rumble should be free to play like other MOBA-style games.
Look forward to it next month
Regardless, Crash Team Rumble will be out in June 2023, and pre-purchasing the game will give players access to the closed beta from April 20 to April 24, 2023.
