Methodology for the Azur Lane Tier List

Our tier list ranks all of the Battleships in the Azur Lane featuring all of the different in-game navies: Royal Navy, US Navy, Kriegsmarine, Imperial Japanese Navy, as well as ships from the Russian, French, Italian, and Chinese navies.

The Heavy Cruisers, Light Cruisers, and Destroyers are considered front row- Vanguard ships, while the Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Light Aircraft Carrier, Battlecruisers, Repair and Monitor ships are termed back row- Main Fleet. 

In the complete Azur Lane tier list (in English) below, Repair and Monitor ships could be designated as support vessels.

With that in mind, here’s how we’ll split down the various brackets inside our Azur Lane Tier List. Please keep in mind that many more ships, such as the USS Anchorage, are still on the way!

S Tier- These are the greatest ships you can get in the game, and you’ll want them in your fleet practically all of the time. They have incredible numbers and abilities and will enable you to conform to practically any circumstance.

A Tier – These ships are almost as excellent as S-tier ships, but they aren’t classified as such since they have flaws that the greatest ships don’t. Even if you don’t have access to S-tier ships, they’re still worth picking up.

B Tier – These ships are very viable, and represent a majority of the meta in Azur Lane due to their accessibility and usability.

C Tier – Ships that aren’t the best but aren’t the worst. They still can perform the job, but it will be worthwhile to invest in stronger ships beyond a certain point.

D Tier – You should consider replacing these once you get the option to upgrade them to stronger ones if you desire a force to guide you through the final stages of the game.

Azur Lane Tier List

Azur Lane has a large cast of characters from which to pick; they are separated mostly by the sort of ship they may transform into.

Their position and function on the map are also determined by this.

As hinted above, the characters will be divided into S/A/B/C/D tier brackets on our tier list, with S-Tier being the strongest and D-Tier ranking the lowest. The ships are placed in order based on their feasibility and value in high-stakes fights.

S-Tier

A-Tier

C-Tier

The ships at C-Tier are decent in our opinion. They don’t have anything special to brag about and have significantly lower stats than the other ships on the list.

They could be worth considering in a few unique cases, but if you have them on your lineup, you should consider replacing them as you advance.

D-Tier 

Regrettably, this tier’s ships possess the minimum stats. Play them only if you have to, then get rid of them as quickly as you have one of the higher-tiered ships.

Azur Lane Tier List: Ship Types

While preparing for the game’s main mode, you may create two fleets, one with a front row (Vanguard) and the other with a back row, each with triple slots. The Vanguard is best suited for the following five types of ships:

• Destroyers
• Heavy Cruisers
• Light Cruisers
• Battlecruiser
• Large Cruiser

And eight other types of ships for the back row, including; 

• Battleships
• Monitors
• Aviation Battleship
• Repair Ships
• Light Aircraft Carrier
• Aircraft Carrier
• Submarine Seaplane Carrier
• Submarines

The map features a grid-like layout akin to the game Battleship, which comprises multiple nodes with each node serving a different sort of function for the primary PvE game mode.

To eliminate obstructive foes and reach the map’s boss with the fewest moves, you have to maneuver effectively and carefully build their fleets.

In the PvP game mode, the player must assemble a defensive fleet and assemble an attack fleet to take on the defending fleets of competing gamers.

Azur Lane Gear Tier List

Azur Lane features a bevy of equipment/gear for you to explore. Below is a brief overview:

1. Destroyers Guns Tier List

• Tier-1: Single 138.6
• Tier-2: Single 133, Twin 130, Twin 120, Twin128, Twin 114 
• Tier-3: Twin 100, Twin 127.
• Special: 76mm AA

Today, Azur Lane has nine DD weapons worth utilizing, with the 138.6mm being the best with the most damage. In the War Archive Iris Event, it may be cultivated.

The damage of the tier 2 firearms is similar to that of the tier 1 guns. The Twin 128 is unique among them since it is the only AP DD gun developed for German ships. The single 133 is a scaled-down version of the 138.6 single.

2. Torpedoes Tier List

• Tier-EX: 533mm Quint Mag (6 stars)
• Tier-1: 533mm Quint MKIX, 610 Quad Kai, 533mm Quint MK17
• Tier-2: 533mm Quint, 610 Quad
• Tier-3: 533mm Quint Mag, 533mm Quad Mag

There are two kinds of torpedoes: magnetic torpedoes and non-magnetic torpedoes. The strongest mag torp is the 6-star mag torp, which may be produced in Research.

Tier 2 torps, with 533mms for autoplay and 610mms for manual play, may also be manufactured in research. The Quint MKIX 533mm features a unique firing pattern in which all torps fire in a linear fashion.

3. Light Cruiser Guns Tier List

• Tier-1: Triple 152 Model 1934, Triple 152 B-38
• Tier-2: Triple 152 DPMK17, Triple 152 MKXXV
• Tier-3: Triple 155, Triple 152 MK16, Twin 150, Single 150

Overall, the tier 1 firearms are the greatest in the slot, but they’re difficult to come by because they’re event-only. Tier 2 weapons may be obtained through PR 1 and PR 2, which are rather regular drops if you spend enough time in the game.

With the exception of the Triple 152MK16, Tier 3 firearms may be discovered via opening crates. If you’re a rookie gamer, any purple pistol will suffice; however, do not improve them above +6.
