Games for me and you! PS Plus Extra & Premium Games are now also available for takeout!
Today, January 17, 2023, PS Plus Extra and Premium add 13 new games, including three significant PS1 titles and games from the popular Life is Strange series. These games, unlike the January 2023 free games, will be available via the game library for quite some time.
What games can I get?
However, PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers should activate their accounts as soon as possible. For the month of January 2023, PlayStation Plus subscribers may get Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order, Axiom Verge 2, and Fallout 76 at no cost. These PS Plus games are equaled or surpassed in quality by the titles available now, which also far outnumber them.
PS Plus members can get Back 4 Blood, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Erica, Jett: The Far Shore, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Life is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and Omno in January 2023. The PS Plus Premium games, meanwhile, are all PS1 games, such as Hot Shots Golf 2, Star Wars Demolition, and Syphon Filter 3. Overall, there’s a wide range of game types to choose from, including shooters, fighters, great indie games, action games, decision-based games, and more.

While it’s great that new titles are being added to PS Plus, it’s been disappointing to see so many games removed in recent months. This is inevitable as the subscription service matures and no longer falls under the category of “new” services.
Moreover, there are plenty of new and (probably) free upcoming — whether unconfirmed, confirmed, or rumored — games coming to PS5 and PS4 this year. Stay tuned to our blog to keep yourself posted on game release updates in 2023.
