New PS Plus Extra games will arrive shortly along with their respective storage needs!
PlayStation Plus Extra members, in addition to having access to hundreds of PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games, also receive monthly game additions.
Games like Back 4 Blood, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition and Life is Strange will all be available to PS Plus members in January 2023. The release date for these titles is January 17, so patient gamers still have a few days to wait. The file sizes of these games are now public, giving players a clearer indication of the amount of storage space they’ll require.
PlayStation Plus game sizes
The PlayStation 5 version of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will occupy 42.489 GB, while the PlayStation 4 version will occupy 37.263 GB, as reported by PlayStation Game Size. Back 4 Blood, one of this month’s other highlight titles, will require 44.633 GB for the PS4 version and 62.395 GB for the PS5 version.
The PlayStation 4 version of Just Cause 4: Reloaded takes up 58.999 GB of storage space, and the PS4 version of Erica uses up an additional 40.171 GB.
But wait, let’s hear this recent report first about why you should not put your PS5 in an upright position.
More games, more sizes to look out
Players will likely not need to make too much room on their hard drives for the remaining games arriving on PS Plus Extra in January of 2023. According to PlayStation Game Size, 15.098 GB is required for the original Life is Strange, while 21.775 GB is required for Life is Strange: Before the Storm. It’s important to remember that the storage needs of individual episodes in either Life is Strange game are not uniform.
Since Omno only requires 2.164 GB and Dragon Ball FighterZ 7.255 GB, the remaining PS Plus Extra games for January 2023 are compact. The final game on our list, Jett: The Far Shore, requires 4.744 GB for the PS5 version and 9.288 GB for the PS4 edition. Users of PS Plus Extra do not appear to have to delete too many games in order to make room for the additional titles they will have access to at the end of January 2023.
In addition to the new games that are being released in January, Sony is probably going to schedule its first State of Play in the coming weeks.
