Eula in Genshin Impact is a beastly damage dealer that can decimate foes with just a swing of her blade. She’s a desirable character to have in Genshin Impact, and we recognize that.
As such, we’re showcasing everything you need to know about Eula in Genshin Impact.
We’ll be going over her move-set, checking out the best playstyles, and showing you the best builds to fully take advantage of her powerful repertoire.
To start it off, let’s take a look at her Talent sheet.
Talents & Playstyle
Eula is a heavy damage dealer specializing in dealing with Physical Damage rather than Elemental reactions.
This has its pros and cons and may dissuade some players from including her in teams, but overall, she’s still very powerful for almost any top team combo out there.
She uses Cryo Element and a Claymore weapon type. On our Genshin Impact Tier List, she ranks in the S-Tier, making her an excellent Main DPS character.
Normal & Charged Attack – Favonious Bladework – Edel
Eula’s Normal Attack is speedier than most other Claymore characters and can go up to a 5-hit combo.
Holding her Charged Attack will unleash continuous attacks, draining her stamina as it goes on. Once released, she finishes off with a more powerful attack.
In terms of Normal Attacks, Eula has one of the best in the game. Even though she’s a Claymore user, her attacks are swift and can deal a lot of damage.
Elemental Skill – Icetide Vortex
Eula’s Elemental Skill, Icetide Vortex, performs a swift slash that deals Cryo Damage and also provides a stack of Grimheart on hit.
Grimheart increases Defense and Resistance to Interruption. It can stack up to 2x and can be attained once every 0.3 seconds.
Holding her Elemental Skill will consume all stacks of Grimheart and unleashes a powerful AoE Cryo Damage attack. Grimheart stacks that are consumed will lower surrounding enemies’ Physical and Cryo DMG Resistance.
Consumed stacks of Grimheart also convert to Icewhirl Brand, which deals Cryo DMG to surrounding enemies.
Elemental Burst – Glacial Illumination
Eula’s Elemental Burst, Glacial Illumination, unleashes a giant swing that deals Cryo Damage to surrounding enemies and summons a Lightfall Sword that hovers around her for up to 7 seconds.
Lightfall Sword functions similarly to Grimheart and increases Resistance to Interruption. It’s charged by Eula’s Normal ATK/Elemental Skill/Elemental Burst damage to enemies, which gives her an energy stack every 0.1 seconds.
After 7 seconds (or after switching Eula out), Lightfall Sword falls onto enemies, causing a massive explosion that deals huge Physical Damage to enemies in range. Damage scales with how many energy stacks are gained.
Her skills are optimized to deal with copious amounts of damage quickly. First, her Normal/Charged attacks are powerful and quick for a Claymore user.
Secondly, her Elemental Skill can be spammed by pressing and stacking Grimheart, waiting for CD, pressing the skill again for 1 more stack of Grimheart, and unleashing a charged Icetide Vortex to lower enemy resistance to both Physical and Cryo damage.
Lastly, proc your Elemental Burst to finish off any stragglers or bosses that still stand in your way.
Her Talents allow her to deal with a lot of Physical damage which very few enemies are resistant to. This makes Eula a valuable, and unique addition to any roster.
Eula Genshin Impact Build
Eula’s Talents favor being the Main DPS that focuses on dealing Physical rather than Elemental damage & reactions. As such, you’ll want weapons and artifacts that boost Attack/ATK%, Physical Damage, and/or Crits.
Mainly though, you should be increasing anything that can boost her Attack and Physical Damage output.
Primary Weapon Choice – Song of Broken Pines
Song of Broken Pines is the optimal weapon for Eula.
It provides a +4.5% Physical DMG bonus effect and also increases her ATK stat. The weapon provides a Sigil of Whispers that’s activated on a Normal/Charged attack hit on enemies.
You can gain up to 4 Sigils stacks, upon which all will be consumed to provide a Normal ATK SPD/ATK buff for 12 seconds to all party members.
Sigils can be gained once every 0.3 seconds and when 4 Sigils activate the buff, you will not gain Sigils for 20 seconds.
The main draw to this weapon is the increased ATK speed and ATK, which is built for Eula’s playstyle. Increasing these will in turn make Eula deadlier, and pair well with her Elemental Burst which stacks energy from Normal and Charged Attacks.
Substitute Weapons
- Wolf’s Gravestone – +20% ATK. Attacking enemies with <30% HP increases party ATK by +40% for 12 seconds.
- Skyward Spine – All DMG +8%. Attacking enemies with Normal or Charged ATK/Elemental Burst creates a vacuum blade inflicting 80% of ATK for 20 seconds or 8 vacuum blades.
- Luxurious Sea-Lord – Elemental Burst DMG +12%. On Elemental Burst hit, 100% chance to summon ginormous tuna dealing 100% ATK AoE damage. Occurs once every 15 seconds.
Artifact Build
Eula’s Artifact build should focus on increasing Physical Damage, ATK% or Crits. For sub-stats, you can increase the core stats above or Energy Recharge.
- Pale Flame – +25% Physical Damage
- Bloodstained Chivalry – +25% Physical Damage
- Gladiator’s Finale – +18% ATK
For Eula, you should equip dual 2-piece set bonuses from Pale Flame and Bloodstained Chivalry. This is because the 2-piece set bonus here increases Physical Damage by 25% each, making it a flat 50% increase to Physical Damage.
This is a huge increase and pairs very well with Eula’s Talents.
Eula Genshin Impact Ascencion Materials
Here are the total Ascencion Materials Eula needs to Ascencion Lvl. 6.
- Crystalline Bloom – 46
- Shivada Jade Silver/Fragment/Chunk/Gemstone – 1/9/9/6
- Dandelion Seed – 168
- Damaged/Stained/Ominous Mask – 18/30/36
With that, we’ve reached the end of our guide and by now, Eula should be a proper Main DPS that’ll take you wherever you need to go.
But we wanna know what you guys think, are there any other ways you’d build Eula? Alternate weapons/playstyles that suit her better? Let us know in the comments!
