Design

We’ve all dreamt of gaming without the pain of lag or FPS drops. We’ve all wanted a PC that can perform as well as it looks. Well, the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR3800WST can offer you exactly what you have been dreaming of.

It features some RGB lighting to help give it a great gamer look. The case is a good quality case that offers good airflow that doesn’t choke the fans, 2 3.5” slots for additional storage, a PSU shroud that keeps your PSU out of sight, and an overall black finish that looks clean and slick.

Make sure that you have enough space on your desk because the PC itself is 19 x 18 x 9 inches and be sure to put it on a sturdy desk since it weighs a total of 32 pounds, making it the heaviest PC in our CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme review lineup.

It also comes with Windows 10 installed, so that you are left with nothing else to do but to start gaming.

Ports and Connections

The PC offers both Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, so you can stay connected to the internet using whichever method you prefer, 6 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a single PS/2 port for old-school peripherals, and 3 audio jacks.

It has the 6-core 12-thread Intel i7-8700 processor that has a base frequency of 3.20 GHz and boost clocks of up to 4.60 GHz making it an overall great processor for multitasking.

The GPU is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB which admittedly isn’t the newest GPU in the market but is still a good option for 1080p gaming.

Verdict

Overall this PC is great for 1080p gaming, and also easily runs VR games. It’s a little on the heavy side, so it might be better suited to be placed on a floor for more support.

It has enough RGB to give it a good “gamer look” and the case complements the build quite well. The build can also be upgradeable if you choose since it does have an additional HDD slot, and you can change the GPU in the future if it no longer meets your needs.

The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR3800WST is a great multi-tasker thanks to its 6-core 12-thread processor and 16GB of RAM, can pretty much handle any game you throw at it, can be great as a workstation and editing videos or pictures, and it can also handle streaming if you want to start your career on Twitch.

It’s a good middle ground PC that can be a great stepping stone for those who want to stream or create content.

The 4 fans also allow the PC to have good airflow ensuring that your PC doesn’t overheat while you are gaming. The case also has a power supply shroud that holds your power supply and can also be used to hide any excess cables to keep the PC looking clean.

The CyberPowerPC GXI VR8060A5 isn’t as good as the last one, but don’t count it out just yet. It has the Intel i5-8400 processor which is a 6-core 6-thread processor that has a base clock of 2.80 GHz and a boost clock of 4.00 GHz and can handle pretty much any modern game.

The GPU is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, though it only has 3GB of VRAM which is why you may have to turn down a few settings, but it is still a good 1080p gaming card. It has 8GB of DDR4 RAM which should be enough to handle just gaming.

For your storage, you have a 120GB SSD for your OS and a few important applications, and a 1TB HDD to store most of your games and other files.

Verdict

It’s a good entry-level machine for 1080p gaming and some VR gaming here and there. I suggest upgrading the RAM as soon as you can so that you can enjoy running multiple programs without choking each other.

Aside from that, it’s a pretty solid gaming PC. You might have to play with your settings a bit to get higher frame rates but it can run most modern games without dropping frames making it a pretty good starter PC.

A Budget-Friendly PC (4.5/5 Stars)

Design

Buying a PC on a tight budget has always been a hard task since you always want the best hardware that your money can buy but at the same time, you want something that looks good and can be presentable.

Usually, you end up choosing between performance or aesthetics, and obviously, you should always choose performance. But you don’t have to choose with the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXIVR8020A4 that offers a clean look while still being able to perform without going over your budget.

The PC has 4 red LED fans installed that give it some lighting while still having good airflow that will help your PC stay cool under load.

You can hide those nasty extra cables and your power supply within the PSU shroud to help keep a clean look and the case has a black finish with some red accents complimenting the fans really well.

It is quite similar to the previously mentioned CyberPowerPC GXIVR8060A5 and the case is basically the same so it also has a size of 18.46 x 7.87 x 17.89 inches.

Much like other pre-builts, it also comes with Windows 10 pre-installed so that users don’t have to go through the trouble of installing an operating system.

Ports and Connections

You have access to both wired and wireless internet connections since it has both 802.11AC Wi-Fi and an RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port.

Unfortunately, you can only choose between using either HDMI or DisplayPort since those are the only ones available for this PC but most modern monitors should support either of the two if not both so it shouldn’t be much of a problem. It also has a total of 5 x USB 3.1 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, and support for 7.1 channel audio.

Even though the two PCs look quite similar, they have completely different hardware inside them.

This PC comes with an Intel i5-7400 which is a 4-core 4-thread processor that has a base clock of 2.9 GHz and can boost up to 3.5 GHz. A 4-core processor should be able to run most games and is probably the minimum for gaming if you want to get decent frame rates.

The AMD RX 580 4GB in this PC is another great budget 1080p gaming card making it perfect for this build. It also comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB HDD for storage.

Verdict

In general, this PC is a good budget gaming PC that doesn’t sacrifice performance for aesthetics. You may not be getting current generation hardware, but it still performs well for gaming.

The RAM can also be easily upgradeable since there are 4 RAM slots, so you can easily add 8GB more if needed. You can also easily add an SSD down the line to make your system respond faster.

A Good Starter PC (4.5/5 Stars)

Design

We sometimes reach a point where we have to choose whether to save a bit of money and sacrifice a bit of performance or to go over budget to get better and newer hardware.

The safe bet is to always go for newer hardware, as long as you have the money to spare. Newer hardware will usually last longer and will be supported longer. The CyberPower GXIVR8020A5 is what you get when you choose the latter.

The PC itself is 18.5 x 7.9 x 17.9 inches with a black finish with red accents and still has 4 red LED fans that complete its red and black look. Windows 10 Home is also pre-installed for your convenience.

Honestly, this PC is pretty much identical to the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXIVR8020A4. If you put the two PCs side-by-side you probably wouldn’t know the difference.

However, once you get into the games and start showing FPS numbers you’ll notice that one PC performs better than the other. This is because the GXIVR8020A5 has a newer and better processor than its older brother.

Ports and Connections

The features that this PC has, are pretty much the same, it still has both 802.11AC Wi-Fi and an RJ-45 Ethernet port to connect to the internet but it does have an additional USB 3.1 port bringing the total to 6.

It still has 2 USB 2.0 ports though and can still support 7.1 channel audio. Another welcome addition is the additional ways of connecting your monitor, it now has 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI, and 2 DisplayPorts making it much more flexible.

Specs

It makes use of Intel’s i5-8400, a 6-core 6-thread processor that has a base clock of 2.80 GHz and a boost clock of 4.00 GHz, which is about 18% faster than its predecessor.

The video card is pretty much the same, AMD’s RX 580 4GB. The RAM and storage are essentially the same as well, with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB HDD for storage.

Verdict

If you have a few extra bucks, it’s a no-brainer to go for this PC instead of its more budget-friendly variant. You can easily take advantage of its 6-core processor and multitask, especially if you upgrade the RAM to 16GB down the line.

Specs

It houses the Intel i5-9400f which is a great gaming processor with its 6-cores and 6-threads, with a base clock of 2.90 GHz and a boost clock of 4.1 GHz.

Paired with the i5-9400f is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6GB which is one of the best mid-range budget graphics cards in the market. Together with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 120GB SSD for your OS, and a 1TB HDD for bulk storage, this PC is a major baller.

Verdict

The PC is a beast at 1080p gaming and can run any game you throw at it at ultra settings, it’s also a great starter PC for 1440p gaming that will give you decent frame rates as long as you are willing to lower a few of your in-game settings.

Its major downside is that it only has 8GB of RAM but if you can upgrade it to 16GB in the future it will be a great multi-tasker and could be used to stream too. It’s a good mid-range PC that dominates in 1080p and is a great entry PC for 1440p gaming.
