“I don’t want to do a sequel because I’ve said what I had to say about these characters and this story,” he explains. “Honestly, I have nothing else to say.” Such a statement may not be of too much surprise, especially with the known potential that you can kill characters off through poor choices. Yet Cage explains his reasoning in stating “I believe that the value of my company lies in its ability to create new IP’s.” Of course we are aware of the extra DLC, known as the Heavy Rain Chronicles, that are entirely optional but set to expand…

Bioware have today released a further “Fight for the Lost” trailer this time featuring the psychopathic killer, and potential squadmate, Subject Zero. For each kill she makes, she adds a tattoo to her body and these days her skin is covered in ink. She is a powerful biotic character with a mysterious past, and there isn’t that much information known regarding her background other than that it was based around brutality and violence. Her emotional instability doesn’t help the fact that she can lift and discard enemies like trash with her biotic powers, and as a particularly dangerous, unstable, and…
Edit: EA has released the following statement regarding how the single-player campaign within Medal of Honor will function, this comes after a misconception from information that I reported below that the campaign would be split into two rather than both elements melded together – for that, I apologise. The below quotation will hopefully clear up any confusion, sorry! We want to clarify that Medal of Honor will have one seamless single player campaign, not two separate campaigns as was recently reported. You will, however, play as multiple characters that each partake in diverse and unique experiences from both the “Tier…

Bungie has today released information regarding the Halo Reach trailer, mainly providing answers regarding whether it was an actual representation of how the final game would look. In this week’s Bungie Weekly Update, they state “The Halo: Reach trailer was produced directly in our new game engine using real game assets. Because the game is still in the midst of development, which means things like frame rate are still in flux, we do something called a ‘frame dump’ that lets us spit out the content, frame by frame, and then compile it back as the video you all saw on Saturday.…
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have today announced in an email this morning, a whole range of LittleBigPlanet merchandise that is set to be released this Winter. To quote the email, “Snap up a whole sack-full of goodies including figurines, mugs, keyrings, t-shirts, hoodies and loads more, all featuring the loveable little character.” Whilst we’ve only really seen a whole range of Sackboy figurines on retailers such as Play.com, we’ve picked up an advertisement displaying an upcoming LittleBigPlanet branded PSP Case and includes a set of stickers for you to customise it. The advert, from Accessories4Gamers Ltd., details that it is suitable…
I’m sure many would have expected there to be one, yet today Square Enix have confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII is set to receive its own Collectors Edition – presumably for both the European and North American audiences. In the newest Square Enix Europe Newsletter, the famed studio reveals “If you thought your excitement for FINAL FANTASY XIII had reached fever pitch, brace yourself for the news of a forthcoming Limited Collector’s Edition version of next year’s most anticipated title. What’s in the box you ask? I’m afraid we’re keeping schtum for the time being, but rest assured that the…
The opening of tonight’s Spike TV Video Game Awards ‘09 begun with a huge present plonked in the middle of the stage before it was blasted open with two guys running into the audience and blasting them with. During this time Mark Hamill performed a voiceover ‘Joker style’ as the show geared up to unveil its first world exclusive title. From what had come previously, it could’ve been predicted that something Batman related would follow – although I doubt anyone was expecting what was to be shown. Following its huge success this year, it would seem that Rocksteady Studios are…
It has been revealed today that the much-anticipated Splinter Cell Conviction title is set to include a co-op campaign portion, that will not only act as a prologue to the main storyline but also be of a sizeable length at around six hours. Placing players in the roles of Daniel Sloane-Suarez (callsign Archer) and Mikhail Loskov (codename Kestrel), the pair will initially not get along at first. “They don’t really like each other or trust each other,” says Patrick Redding, Co-op Game Designer before continuing “but you’ll hear in their dialogue, moving through the missions, that their trust is slowly…
