As 2022 winds down, Valorant and its loyal player base will celebrate yet another successful year-end event and to our surprise, there’s a broom stick as a weapon?!
Next week, the designers will release a new Recall Event Pass that will grant access to a slew of upcoming events and freebies for gamers. What follows is a complete rundown of next week’s activities and methods for acquiring Valorant’s free cosmetics.
The community-hyped Walis Tambo broom stick
However, the main weapon that we’re about to show you comes from the land of Filipinos. You can use this traditional Filipino broom stick — known as “walis tambo” — to sweep or clean floors inside your house. Who knew a cleaning tool is now seen in Valorant as a dangerous weapon, and who knew Valkyrae is part-Filipino?
This Walis Tambo gunbuddy is held in high regard by the Filipino players within the community as it represents the rich historical value of this item.
What else is in the event?
The broom stick cosmetic didn’t come alone — there are other cosmetics that you should keep an eye on:
- Fakeout Spray
- Two new Titles
- Two new Player cards
From December 14 through January 4, 2023, you may get into the event for free with a special pass. Moreover, unlocking the items requires nothing more than some time spent playing Valorant and gaining experience. During this time, there will also be an XP increase available via the Squad Boost. - Duos get an 8% increase
- Trios get a 12% increase
- Parties of 4 get 16% increase
- Full squads of 5 get the full 20% increase
Valorant broom stick is the best, but have you been running into smurfs? Not to worry. Recently, Valorant have announced its fight against smurfing and account buying. They released an in-game feature that allows you to make tournament-like games and pre-schedule matches.
