Beginnings at Gamestop & Journey Through Platforms
While working at Gamestop, back in 2014, Valkyrae started an Instagram account to share her love for gaming with others. As her audience grew, Valkyrae realized that this was what she always wanted.
Her followers and her friends motivated her to take the next step.
So, in 2015 she started her live streaming on Twitch. The biggest nod to her talent was from the Game Awards where she won Content Creator of the Year in 2020.
Apart from gaming, one of her most successful streams was the Valkyrae no-makeup stream. This brought mixed reactions from Valkyrae’s Twitch audience, but she was original above all.
By the end of 2021, Valkyrae had 945,214 followers and 10,000+ subs on Twitch alone.
Then in January 2021, she made the big switch from Twitch to YouTube after she signed an exclusive streaming contract with YouTube.

Now, she uploads and streams more regularly, and has stepped into music, fitness, and beauty ventures. She recently featured in the music video of a Corpse x MGK song.
So, she’s making big gains in the industry, and it doesn’t seem to matter how tall is Valkyrae anymore does it!
