The Steam Deck backplate with a transparent shell is a new invention.
The Steam Deck, currently the most wanted portable gaming PC available, has received its first custom transparent outer shell, giving gamers the option to swap out the stock case for something with a little more style. While see-through electronics may have peaked in popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s, they appear to be enjoying a renaissance at the present time.
With the Steam Deck becoming one of 2022’s most wanted gaming devices, it was inevitable that it would come with its own translucent accessories. The closest thing like this that existed before were vinyl skins that gave an inaccurate glimpse into the gadget’s inner components.
Steam Deck Transparent Shell Innovation by JSAUX
Most Steam Deck owners probably won’t be surprised to learn that JSAUX created the first clear case for Steam Deck. Once a relatively obscure name in consumer electronics, JSAUX has recently made a name for itself in the accessory market. The company’s newest product, the PC0106 Transparent Back Plate, features three interchangeable sets of back buttons designed to make it more comfortable to operate all four of these keys during gameplay.
JSAUX gained notoriety for being among the first firms to provide a third-party docking station for the Steam Deck, much before Valve released its own official option. Deck-specific accessories such as JSAUX-designed carrying cases, screen guards, and hubs are also available. However, as the firm is in China, delivery periods might be somewhat long, which may be a dealbreaker for certain customers.
JAUX did not replace the whole shell
Users of the Steam Deck with Game Boy cartridges can now make their handheld gaming PC appear like the vintage gaming powerhouse that it is, although it’s worth noting that this custom shell replacement does come with cons. To be more specific, JSAUX is only replacing the backplate and not the entire shell at this time. As a result, just the Deck’s back half, where the customizations are located, will be seen. You can also see the brand logo on the case.
Backplates aren’t the only ones coming to Steam Deck. We are also anticipating the launching of the third installment of The Last of Us as rumors spread on the web, but is it compatible?
