In December 2016, Cheritz released the first-ever Mystic Messenger DLC called the Christmas Special 2016. The Christmas DLC brought in 2 new days (Christmas Eve & Christmas Day), 8 fresh endings, a fan-demanded romantic scene, and plenty of brand new audio and visual content.
But, it’s not free. If you want to enjoy all this new content, you’ll need 100 Hourglasses.
Another highlight of the Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC is the ever-changing messages. You’ll get different scenarios in different runs, and your choices decide the outcomes.
All-in-all, it’s a brand new experience and one that you should definitely try out. You can always farm for hourglasses, but you’ll regret passing on this DLC. It does have some spoilers about 707’s route so play accordingly.
Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC – Tips to Get Every Ending
Before you go ahead with the DLC download, we suggest saving your progress first. Because launching the Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC will overwrite any unsaved progress of the original game.

Here’s a simplified guide to help you get your desired Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC ending.
1. Bad Ending
The hacker is back, so Seven locks the player in Rika’s apartment to protect her. The player doesn’t make it to the successful fundraising party. Neither does the player show up in the group chat.
How To Get: Less than 30% chat participation on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
2. Normal Ending
The player attends the event with everyone already there and the donation goal complete. Seven is not at the event but joins later on in a chatroom and congratulates everyone for the successful fundraiser.
The player safely makes it back to the apartment and everyone wishes her a “Merry Christmas.”
How To Get: Collect all hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve. Avoid answers that don’t give out any hearts.
3. Unknown’s Ending
The player attends the party but is secretly talking with Unknown. The player gives Unknown the address and time of the party.
After that, Unknown meets the player at Rika’s apartment and takes her away. Unknown will also leave a message in the chat saying he will take care of the player.
How To Get: Give the following answers to Unknown’s messages on Christmas Day:

| 4:07 PM | Unknown: “Could you tell me when that event ends? If I know that, I’ll be able to reach you.” Player: “It ends at 9. I’ll be waiting. You said you’d come to find me soon.” |
4. Zen’s Ending
Zen comes to the event and takes the player away to a place where they both can be alone.
He talks about feeling happy just because he is spending Christmas with the player. The player and Zen kiss at the end.
How To Get: Collect gray hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
5. 707’s Ending
707 takes the player to a special place to watch the Christmas fireworks together. None of them attend the party.
How To Get: Collect red hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
6. Jaehee’s Ending
The player and Jaehee arrive early to prepare for the party. Then Jaehee leaves for the C&R building for some work, and Jumin sends the player after her.
Jaehee has fallen asleep at the desk so the player kisses her, and leaves some documents and some hot chocolate for her.
How To Get: Collect yellow hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
7. Jumins’s Ending
Jumin donated 120 million in the name of the player. After that, he takes the player out of the event and hugs her. In the end, the player is seen sleeping on Jumin’s couch.
How To Get: Collect purple hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
8. Yoosung’s Ending
Yoosung is at the party cleaning up and the player arrives very late. After some playful flirting, Yoosung and the player go to a quieter place. It starts to snow, Yoosung leans over the player’s back and takes her home.
How To Get: Collect green hearts on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve.
The Mystic Messenger Christmas DLC has some of the sweetest endings out of all the original as well as other DLC endings.
