Jeremy Renner, the star of the upcoming Disney+ series Rennervations, made his first late-night appearance since his snow plow accident on Monday evening. The actor guested on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss the traumatic incident.
Jeremy Renner was met with a standing ovation by the talk show’s crowd, taking the stage with the help of a cane. The actor shared details of his accident, which occurred earlier this year.
Snow Plow Accident
Jeremy Renner recounted that he and his 27-year-old nephew were attempting to tow a Ford Raptor out of the snow with his snow plow.
After his nephew stepped out to chain the two vehicles, the snow plow began to slide on the ice.
Jeremy Renner lost his footing as he stepped out of the plow to look back at his nephew, but neglected to set the parking brake. Attempting to re-enter the vehicle, Renner was run over.
The actor described the accident as “a very, very bad way to start the year,” but added that he “got lucky in a lot of ways” and was “happy to be here.”
Jeremy Renner’s Recovery and Support
Jeremy Renner’s recovery has been ongoing since the accident, with the actor sharing updates on social media about his progress.
He also gave a shout-out to his mother and the rest of his family, who joined the “Kimmel” crowd.
Jeremy Renner also shared a video that his Avengers co-star Paul Rudd sent to him while he was recovering in intensive care.
During the show, Renner performed a small dance and joked with Kimmel about the toughest Avenger.
When Kimmel suggested that Renner was the toughest Avenger after his accident, Renner quickly shut him down, retorting “Scarlett Johansson.”
Renner’s Upcoming Projects
Jeremy Renner’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! also served as a promotion for his upcoming Disney+ series “Rennervations,” which follows the actor as he renovates his Lake Tahoe home.
The actor shared some details about the show, saying that it’s “about the renovation of my house, but it’s really more about the journey of life and the family and things that come along with that.”
