Escape From Tarkov: Interchange Map (Extraction, Keys & More)

The Interchange map is one of the most profitable maps for players to gain loot and supplies in Escape From Tarkov.

However, its intricate layout and overwhelming size can be quite stressful to manage for new and veteran players alike. Here’s a complete guide on how to navigate it.

The Interchange Map – What To Expect

The map is fashioned around an “Ultra” Mall in its center that is maze-like to shift through while being surrounded by several key locations such as the Scav Camp, the Power Plant, and the Railway.

It is precisely for this reason that we’ve made this Complete Map guide for Interchange which arms new players with the basic information they need to hit the ground running, and highlights the various intricacies that Pro players need to maximize their profits from this raid. 

Basic Layout of Interchange Map

The Ultra Mall has three essential floors. There are the first and second floors and the basement.

There are also internal divisions within the mall that cut out four separate sections. 

1. The first section is of the Main Shopping Centre
2. The second section is of the IDEA store 
3. The third section is of the OLI store
4. And the fourth section is of the Goshan store

All Useable Keys

There are a total of 9 keys that are usable within the interchange map which can open up all the Exits and all of the registers found within the Interchange map. 

1. Goshan Key

You can find this key in the Customs raid map. The key can be found on a seat in a bus located at the back of the Gas Station. 

2. Emercom Key

This key can be found on the Customs raid map as well. It is found within an Ambulance in front of the Gas Station.

3. OLI Logistics Key 

This key is located within the Customs raid map. This key can be found by popping the trunk of a blue car near the factory. 

4. OLI Office Key

This key can be located on the Shoreline raid map. This key can be found in Room 322 in the Eastern Wing.  

5. OLI Register Key

This key can be found within the Interchange raid map. This key is located in the OLI offices in a room with the door already open. 

6. Power Utility Key 

This key is located in the raid map called Factory. It can be found near the Forklift spawn within a row of blue lockers. 

7. IDEA Register Key 

Can be found in the Interchange raid map. The key is located on a bus to the left side of the IDEA mall complex. 

8. KIBA 2 Key

Can be found in the Interchange map. It can be received as a reward for completing the final Gunsmith task

9. KIBA 1 Key

Can be found in the Interchange map. Can be found within Scav backpacks. 

Primary Spawn Locations in Interchange

There are 9 spawn locations that exist on the Interchange map. A word of advice for all new players would be to try and dash into the Ultra mall as soon as possible because otherwise, you will be a sitting duck for spawn campers. 

Most Dangerous Spawn Locations

1. South West Corner Spawn
2. South East Corner Spawn or the Emercom Checkpoint Spawn 

Easiest Spawn Locations

1. Service Road Spawn
2. South East Ramp Spawn 

All Extraction Points within Interchange 

1. Emercom Extract 

Stand next to the military tents that can be found towards the South East Corner of the map. Near the tents will be a large truck that will act as your extract. 

2. Hole in Fence

There is a requirement for this Extract, which is that you cannot be using a backpack. It can be found on the road connecting Emercom and the Power Plant. 

3. Railway Extract

An important tip for this extract would be to not let your guard down as you approach. The Railway can be found between the southwest corner and the end of a long rail track.

4. Power Station Extract 

This is a single-use extract and costs three thousand roubles per player to utilize. A total of four players can use this extract. The sign for if this will be active would be an audible engine. 

5. Scav Camp

You can find this extract near some military tents and various cargo containers along the east wall. However, this extract requires that you bring a friendly Scav along with you. 

6. Saferoom Extract 

Unlike the other extracts, the safe room is quite complex. It is a single-use exit and you need to first turn on the power for the Ultra mall at the power station and then seek out a control panel in the Burger Spot.

After swiping the Object #11SR keycard you’ll be able to access a secret safe room in the underground parking area. The extract can be found there.

Important Locations on The Interchange Map

There is quite a bit of detail that should not be glossed over when going through Interchange, specifically the various available loot in each spot. 

1. Power Station 

This location can be found in the area that is to the northeast of the IDEA store connected to the Ultra Mall. This spot is particularly important to fully explore because of the loot available which includes: 

1. Numerous Toolboxes, 2 Fuel Conditioner spawns, and numerous Jackets – All of which can be found inside the Station’s main building.
2. Numerous Jackets can be found, along with a File Cabinet and four PC blocks Inside the Station’s office 
3. Some shacks also contain Toolboxes. 

2. IDEA Store

The IDEA store is quite clearly highlighted in the above-provided map in the Northern area.

You can access it through the Ground Floor and for orientation, it is to the southwest of the Power Plant. The available loot includes: 

1. Some rare spawns such as the Lion and Cat statues can be found here.  
2. Toolboxes and industrial items also can be found. 
3. 20 Cash Registers. 
4. The storage area contains several electronics and industrial items to grab. 
5. PC Blocks, tech items, and a Duffle Bag can be looted from the cubicles in the office area. In the office (cubicle) area: PC Blocks, technological items, and a Duffle Bag.

3. OLI Store

The OLI store is highlighted in the map we provided above, but its general location is in the Southern part of the mall on the Ground floor.

Another way to orient yourself to this location is that it is northwest of the Emercom Checkpoint. The loot in the area includes: 

1. Hoses, propane tanks, car batteries, Gas Analyzers, etc. 
2. 18 Cash Registers
3. There are PC Blocks in the OLI offices.

4. Goshan Store

The Goshan store is in the Western part of the mall and is on the Ground Floor. The loot in this location includes the following: 

1. Provisions can be found on the shelves.
2. 27 lootable Cash Registers.
3. Multiple Weapon Boxes are scattered around the store and its warehouse. 
4. Within the lockers, rare spawns such as Bitcoins, gold chains, and Rolexes can be found.  
5. Car Batteries, Gun Powder, Screwdrivers, Spark Plugs, etc can be found in the back of the store. 

5. KIBA

KIBA can be found in the center of the mall on the Ground floor. Some exceptionally powerful and useful loot can be found here, such as: 

1. AK-74N, M4A1, Shotguns, Handguns.
2. Multiple Weapon Mod and Weapon Attachment on shelves and inside the cabinets. 
3. Grenades are in a box that lies close to the counter. 
4. Weapon Cabinet, two Cash Registers, loose money, and two Weapon Crates. 
5. Sphere-S helmet, IOTV Gen4 Armor

The Boss

The main boss of the Interchange map is Killa, whose equipment includes an RPK-16 5.45×39 light machine gun.

Killa wears the bulletproof helmet Maska-1Shch, has the Maska-1Shch face shield, the 6B13 M assault armor, and the Black Hawk Commando Chest Harness, and he can be encountered anywhere within the Ultra Mall.
