High on Life’s Success on Xbox
High on Life has been a hit among Xbox players since its launch on Game Pass last December. This bold shooter game has captivated users on Xbox and PC, who have been busy tracking down every weapon and busting open every Luglox chest.
However, PlayStation players had been left out of the action until now.
High on Life on PlayStation
Good news for PlayStation players: High on Life was released on PS4 and PS5 on July 22, 2023. This means that PlayStation gamers can now experience the chaos of the Rick and Morty team’s latest creation.
While High on Life was initially billed as an ‘Xbox launch exclusive,’ developer Squanch Games is not a first-party Microsoft studio. This allowed the studio to release a PS5 and PS4 version of the game once their exclusivity deal with Xbox expired.
We’ve seen similar circumstances in the past where a major title was released on one platform before coming to other systems. For example, Deathloop was initially a PlayStation exclusive at launch but made its way to Xbox around a year later. This gave it another spell in the spotlight and generated another few weeks of hype.
