Genshin Impact players have stumbled upon an intriguing in-game dialogue that potentially hints at the location of Natlan, one of the major regions yet to be unveiled.
The world of Teyvat is composed of seven primary nations, each inspired by a real-world location and its culture.
The World of Teyvat
Developer HoYoverse has been following a pattern of introducing one major region per year, with Sumeru being the latest addition.
Currently, Genshin Impact players can traverse four distinct regions: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. However, this is set to change soon, as the recent Special Program live stream announced that the release of Fontaine is imminent.
A Hint at Natlan’s Location
A Reddit user, Training_Cook_7284, shared an intriguing screenshot of a dialogue from the recently added World Quest, “Recollections of a Fontainian.” During this quest, players converse with an NPC named Augustus Lovelace, who mentions an interesting fact about the upcoming major region, Natlan.
Augustus suggests that to reach Natlan, players would need to traverse a desert, leading many to believe that this region borders the deserts of Sumeru. This dialogue lends credibility to previous leaks suggesting that Natlan would be located southwest of the Dendro nation.
What We Know About Natlan
Official information about Natlan is scarce, but we know it’s home to the Pyro Archon, currently known as Murata. According to recent Genshin Impact leaks, Natlan’s official storyline will reportedly resurrect a popular character who is currently deceased. Many players speculate that this could be Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter, also known as La Signora. She was the first Fatui Harbinger to appear in the Prologue Chapter, where she stole Venti’s gnosis.
La Signora’s Crimson Witch of Embers form, which allows her to control the Pyro element, makes her a fitting character for Natlan. Genshin Impact players hope that Natlan’s quest lines will be filled with combat, aligning with the nation’s overall theme, as Murata is also known as the God of War.
Unfortunately, players will have to wait for at least 5 to 6 months to find more information about the Pyro nation, as the upcoming updates will focus on the new Hydro nation, Fontaine. While HoYoverse has yet to officially announce Fontaine’s exact release date, players can expect the new major region to drop around mid-August.
