A Genshin Impact enthusiast has crafted a map displaying all explorable areas, including the anticipated Fontaine nation, set to arrive in version 4.0.
Updated Map of Teyvat and Fontaine Model
The primary continent in Genshin Impact, called Teyvat, consists of seven major regions. HoYoverse has introduced only four, with Sumeru being the most recent addition. Genshin Impact typically adds one significant part each year, and Fontaine is confirmed as the next destination for Travelers.
Over the past few months, numerous credible leakers have unveiled information about Fontaine, including its release date, location, and playable characters.
Fontaine’s Borders and Placeholder Model
Fontaine shares borders with some of the game’s existing regions, allowing players to see the placeholder model for the Hydro nation from specific viewpoints in Liyue and Sumeru. As Fontaine’s official release approaches, Genshin Impact update 3.6 introduced a new placeholder model, hinting at the terrain players can expect in version 4.0.
Reddit user Substantial_Fan_9582 shared a satellite map featuring all four current regions and the placeholder model, suggesting Fontaine may become one of Genshin Impact’s most prominent areas.
Hydro Element and Terrain Expectations
With Fontaine confirmed to feature the Hydro element symbolically, it will likely boast vast lakes and rivers. Many players have expressed surprise at the number of hills and mountains in the model, speculating that Fontaine may include numerous waterfalls—echoing previous rumors about the nation’s primary city.
An old beta leak suggested that Fontaine’s main city would be perched on a vertical platform and surrounded by waterfalls.
Playable Characters in Fontaine Story Arc
Genshin Impact leaks have also disclosed ten new characters reportedly joining the roster during the Fontaine story arc. One of these characters is Hydro Archon Focalors, who have been mentioned multiple times in the main storyline. Other characters include Neuvillette, Lyney, and Lynette.
Neuvillette, Fontaine’s Chief Justice, is expected to have a role similar to Jean, the Acting Grandmaster in Mondstadt. Siblings Lyney and Lynette appeared in one of Genshin Impact’s earliest story teasers. Rumors suggest that Lyney will be a five-star Pyro user, while Lynette is likely to have a lower four-star rarity.
