A recent Genshin Impact leak has shed light on two popular characters, Lyney and Lynette, who have been subjects of speculation since one of the earliest story teasers in 2020.
With each new update, HoYoverse continues to expand its playable roster.
The latest additions to the game were Dehya and Mika in update 3.5.
The recent Special Program event confirmed that the second phase of the ongoing Genshin Impact update 3.6 will introduce characters Baizhu and Kaveh, who both wield Dendro vision.
As a result, the roster of Dendro users will increase to eight, even though the element was only introduced in August 2021.
Upcoming Characters: Lyney and Lynette
The new Genshin Impact leak divulged more details about the sibling duo Lyney and Lynette, who are expected to be linked to the next major region, Fontaine.
According to the leak, Lyney will be a five-star Pyro character using a bow—the second character with this weapon and element combination after Yoimiya.
As a main DPS character, his damage multipliers are rumored to fall between those of Ganyu and Tighnari.
Lyney’s sixth constellation level reportedly has a significant impact on his play style.
Lynette, Lyney’s sister, is rumored to be a support-focused Anemo character.
Lynette’s Elemental Skill
Lynette’s Elemental Skill summons an Anemo spirit that remains on the field for 10 seconds, even if she is swapped out.
Characters who perform a Charged Attack will trigger additional elemental damage from the spirit, suggesting potential synergy with characters like Cryo Bow user Ganyu.
As with any leaks, take this information with a grain of salt, since the characters’ releases are still months away.
Based on HoYoverse’s typical update schedule, players can anticipate the arrival of Genshin Impact’s new major region in the latter half of August.
You could also expect to see Charlotte, a new character in Genshin Impact 3.7, that is rumored to join both of these character releases.
