The alleged leak about Apex Legends Season 16 claims that the game will not be receiving a new unique character this year.
Since its launch in early 2019, battle royale shooter Apex Legends has taken the initiative to update the game seasonally by introducing a new Legend to the fray. After a famous Apex Legends leaker revealed some of the upcoming Apex Legends Season 16 content but failed to announce the introduction of a new Legend, a timeout may be in place.
If you’re a true fan of PC gaming, you may want to broaden your horizons and see if Apex Legends has crossplay enabled.
Who and where did the leak come from?
When it comes to leaks and data mining, the Apex community knows to go to ThordanSmash. Players trust the user’s report that there are no more Heroes since they have no reason to believe otherwise.
A Reddit thread that quotes Thordan extensively on Apex Legends Season 16 claims that there will be “no new Legend,” but rather “Legend buffs and nerfs including [a] Lifeline buff,” which will cause the character’s Care package to drop much more quickly than previously.
What’s next for Apex Legends Season 16?
The same insider has also revealed that the Fragment area of World’s Edge, where many players arrive for the first time and where, especially for less experienced players, a slaughter sometimes happens, would undergo a complete redesign in Season 16. Because of the current Wintertide event, EA has yet to address the leaks or disclose any further information on Season 16.
Interestingly, there wasn’t much of a reaction to the fact that there wasn’t a new Legend. However, gamers’ interest was piqued by rumors that Control will replace Arenas in Season 17 and by the purported Season 17 Legend.
Speaking of leaks and whatnot, another interesting claim from a reliable insider reveals Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed game, and it’s going to be in a different setting this time.
