Taylor Swift and Matty Healy’s Relationship Gets Serious

Sources close to the couple confirmed that they are “not just platonic” and “having a good time” together.

Enchanting Time

The singers first sparked dating rumors back in 2014, although Healy denied the speculation months later. Two years later, he acknowledged having a “flirtation” with Swift in an interview with Q magazine.

The musicians’ friendship continued, and they collaborated on Swift’s latest album Midnights, which was released last year.

The 1975 lead singer revealed the collaboration with Swift during an interview with KROQ’s Klein/Ally Show for Audacy’s DTS Sound Space.

The revelation led to the crowd booing Healy. He quickly came to Swift’s defense and explained that the collaboration didn’t make it to the album for reasons that should not be criticized.

Surprise Appearance

Swift made a surprise appearance at The 1975’s first of two concerts at London’s O2 Arena in January.

The “Love Story” singer walked onstage during a break in the set to perform “Anti-Hero” and a cover of The 1975’s “The City.”

Following the concert, the two musicians spent time together, and Healy expressed his admiration for Swift.

The new romance between Swift and Healy comes after PEOPLE confirmed Swift’s breakup from actor Joe Alwyn after six years together. Healy previously dated FKA twigs for three years before their split in 2022.

Sources Confirm Relationship

The latest photos of Taylor Swift and Matty Healy holding hands, posted on social media, have sparked rumors that the couple is officially dating.

Sources have confirmed that they are “not just platonic” and “having a good time” together.

Swift, 33, is currently on her Eras Tour, while Healy, 34, has been touring with The 1975.

After performing in Manila on May 4, Healy flew to Nashville for Swift’s tour stop at Nissan Stadium.

He attended all three nights of her shows, where he joined opening act Phoebe Bridgers on guitar and later mingled with Swift’s close friends in the VIP area, including Gigi Hadid and Lily Aldridge.

As of writing, reps for Swift and Healy’s band The 1975 have not responded to multiple requests for comment.

Fans of the couple are eagerly waiting for an official announcement, but for now, Swift and Healy seem to be enjoying each other’s company and keeping their relationship private.
