The Steam Winter Sale 2022 is almost here, making this the loveliest time of the year for gamers.
All kinds of games, from AAA smash successes to indie darlings you might have missed this year, will be cut down in price during this enormous Steam sale. The moment to browse the sale and buy games you’ve been eyeing is now, whether you want to fulfill a longstanding wish list item or take a chance on a game you typically wouldn’t play due to its price tag.
As one of the biggest video sales events of the year, this is an amazing occasion that is definitely going to pique your interest in a few games. Let’s get you a quick tour to the details.
When will the Winter Sale 2022 start and end?
Valve has announced that the Steam Winter Sale will begin on December 22nd, just in time for the holidays. And if you’re from the US or the UK, here’s a more specific timetable:
United States | 12th December 2022 10AM PT |
United Kingdom | 12th December 2022 1PM ET |
It won’t be just free or cheap games only. For the duration of the sale, you can claim free stickers from the Points Shop on the Steam website.
On January 5, 2023, Steam will no longer be offering its Winter Sale 2022. The discount will run for two weeks, giving you plenty of time to make up your mind if you’ve been contemplating whether or not to take advantage of it.
And keep in mind that you can get a refund on for a game in Steam within 14 days if you decide you don’t like it.
Discounted games in the massive sale
This is, of course, difficult to predict with any certainty, but if the Steam Winter Sale of last year is any indication, there will be a wide variety of deals available. Moreover, Call of Duty: World War II, the preceding installment from that year, was discounted last year, as was Halo: The Master Chief Collection and the fantastic Half Life: Alyx, all of which were discounted by 50%.
It’s definitely a bargain sale that you shouldn’t miss out on! Also, if you’re a fan of both Steam and Epic Games, the latter has something for you, too — free mystery games every week. Now, did that make your Christmas even merrier?
