Starfield Pre-order deadline is a few hours away so this is a quick read you need if you’re thinking about it.
You get a lot more than just Early Access if you pre-order Starfield before the official 6th September release date.
Let’s talk about that.
Starfield Preorder: Is It Worth It?
Now before you start thinking why that’d be a question, hear me out.
With a Starfield Pre-order on any edition other than the Standard Edition, you get Early Access. And a bag of goodies depending on the edition you pre-order.
But if you’re just looking for Early Access, you can get it if you have your Xbox Game Pass active before 1st September.
Well, that’s only if you’re looking for Early Access.

Starfield Collector’s Edition Pre-Order
To put it in the simplest words, there’s no ‘Collector’s Edition’ to Starfield.
Instead, there’s a Starfield Constellation Edition and that’s what you’re looking for in the first place.
Getting your hands on the Starfield Constellation Edition is not easy though.
Starfield Editions You Can Still Pre-Order
All Starfield edition purchases will be taken as pre-orders (and come with pre-order bonuses) as long as the purchase is made before 6th September.
Currently, there are 4 Starfield Editions available.
Standard Edition Preorder
Preorder Starfield Standard Edition if you simply want Early Access. If not, you can wait till 6th September with just an Xbox Game Pass to enjoy it.
Will you get Starfield Early Access with Xbox Game Pass?
No. Bethesda or Microsoft can’t cover that much with Starfield but hey at least it’s an Xbox exclusive. You can preorder the Standard Edition to get Early Access for $69.99.
Premium Edition Preorder
Preorder Premium Edition to get Early Access and then some.
Premium Edition users will get to enjoy additional access to Starfield’s first expansion pack – Shattered Space.
You also get the Constellation Skin Pack, the art book and soundtrack but this will set you back by $99.99. It’s worth it though considering you get access to the first Starfield expansion pack.
Premium Edition Upgrade Preorder
This upgrade adds another $34.99 to the cart. This is an add-on that you can order with the Standard Edition to get access to all that’s in the standalone Premium Edition.
But this upgrade has a physical pack as well that ships 2 Starfield collectibles – the Constellation patch and the Steelbook case. The physical pack is running in and out of stock. Keep an eye out on the official Xbox page.

Starfield Preorder Bonus
Why preorder Starfield?
You get Early Access. And you get access to the Old Mars Skin Pack that might come in handy if you’d like to start collecting resources and grind early for late-game advantages.
So, if you’re about to go ahead with your Starfield preorder, I’d suggest getting the Premium Edition straight up. Complimentary access to the Shattered Space expansion pack along with Early Access (if you get it by 6th September) and the custom Constellation skin pack should be the perfect way to start your Starfield journey.
