Netflix has announced the star-studded cast for its upcoming limited series adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestseller, The Perfect Couple. The six-episode series will feature an impressive line-up of actors, including Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Billy Howle, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy, Ishaan Khattar, Jack Reynor, Sam Nivola, Mia Isac, Donna Lynne Champlin, and Isabelle Adjani.
‘The Perfect Couple’ story and cast
The Perfect Couple is a murder mystery that follows Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson), a bride about to marry into one of Nantucket’s wealthiest families. The groom’s mother, a famous novelist, Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman), has spared no expense on the high-society wedding.
However, when a dead body appears on the beach, everyone’s Champagne dreams quickly vanish and are replaced by suspicion. As secrets bubble up to the surface, an investigation takes hold that feels plucked from one of Greer’s books.
Nicole Kidman has officially signed on to play the role of Greer Garrison Winbury, while Liev Schreiber will play Tag Winbury, the groom’s father. Dakota Fanning has been cast as Abby Winbury, the sister-in-law, and Eve Hewson will play Amelia Sacks, the bride. Billy Howle will play Benji Winbury, the groom, and Omar Epps will play Dan Carter, the Chief of Police.
Other cast members include Meghann Fahy as Merritt Monaco, Ishaan Khattar as Shooter Dival, Jack Reynor as Thomas Winbury, Mia Isaac as Chloe Carter, Sam Nivola as Will Winbury, Donna Lynne Champlin as Nikki Henry, and Isabelle Adjani as Isabel Nallet.
Filming to start next week
Production for the series will begin next week, with Emmy and Oscar winner Susanne Bier set to direct all six episodes. She will also executive produce the series alongside showrunner Jenna Lamia.
Other executive producers include Shawn Levy and Josh Barry for 21 Laps Entertainment, Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady for The Jackal Group, and Kidman and Per Saari for Blossom Films.
Fans of the book can look forward to seeing the story brought to life on screen, with an all-star cast that promises to deliver an unforgettable performance.
