Over the past month, the 89-year-old Glassman and her grandson Jace have taken TikTok by storm, accumulating nearly 13 million views throughout April.

Their journey to viral fame began with a single video that ignited their online presence.

In the now-famous video, Glassman effortlessly executes a layup before busting out the popular “Griddy” dance.

Reflecting on the experience, Glassman expressed her surprise, saying, “He wanted me to do a ‘Griddy,’ which I didn’t know what that was. And that it’d get a million views on TikTok.”

Surpassing Expectations

Jace underestimated the potential impact of their video. Since its posting on April 8, the clip has garnered over 11.9 million views and received more than a million likes.

Their newfound fame even caught the attention of national brands like AXE, highlighting the duo’s rising popularity.

Despite the sudden internet fame, Glassman remains grounded, emphasizing that the most significant joy comes from spending time with her grandson.

“He’s a good kid, just in general; he’s a good kid. He’s a funny kid, and he makes me laugh,” Glassman said. “And I’m always glad to spend time with him.”

Glassman’s weekends are now filled with creating, filming, and editing videos alongside her grandson. Jace takes the lead, coming up with fresh and exciting ideas that surprise Glassman every time.

“He totally comes up with them, and I don’t hear about them until the very last minute,” Glassman shared.

“So, that’s why it’s kinda fun and interesting to do it because I don’t know what I’ll be doing.”
