Escape From Tarkov: Shoreline Map Guide(Extraction, Keys & More)

Shoreline is one of the largest maps in Escape From Tarkov. Shoreline, unlike most other maps that have a consistent direction to where they want players to move towards, is far more sporadic and opaque in the way it wants players to orient themselves.

There are fiercely contested central loot locations and a new map boss added that spices up the potential encounters in this map.

All of this is to say that this map requires an organized method to look at it and this guide is precisely that for both new and experienced players. 

Basic Layout of Shoreline Map

The Shoreline is perhaps one of the best maps for PvP opportunities in Escape From Tarkov. It is also a surprise that this map is also regarded as one of the most bountiful maps in terms of the availability of loot. The map is divided into various sections of interesting terrain for players to explore and compete within.

With a Shoreline to the south providing some excellent combat opportunities close to open waters, the Resort in the Northern part of the map provides tense indoor combat, and swamps and stone archways to the West and East respectively.

Much of the loot within Shoreline is, however, locked behind various rooms within the Health Resort. The map contains several spawn locations and extracts, and importantly has a raid time of over 55 minutes with a PMC player limit of 8 to 13 people. 

All Useable Keys 

Shoreline has heaps of keys that can be used for various things within the game. But picking out the right ones to look for and take with you will turn your normal runs into profitable ones. 

Key to the closed premises of the Health Resort

If you have the Quest Spa Tour- Part 5 active then this key can be found laying on a chair within the bunker that is in the Health Resort. 

Health Resort Warehouse Safe Key

This key opens a safe within the Administration building and can either be bought off the market or looted from random jackets and Scav bags. 

Cottage Back door Key

This key can be bought off the market and is used in the Therapists Quest in Colleagues – Part 2. 

Cottage Safe Key

Opens up a safe in the cottage in Shoreline. Can be bought off the market. 

SMW Car Key

Can be found at the construction site on top of a box.  This key unlocks the trunk of the blue car at the locked Villa. 

Resort Universal Utility Room Key

This opens up all utility rooms at the Health Resort. It can be found inside the janitor’s closet underneath a key locker.

Health Resort Office Key with Blue Tape

This key opens up Room 110 of the East Wing of the Health Resort. This key can be obtained by defeating and looting Sanitar. 

HEP Station Storage Room Key

This key allows players access to the Hydroelectric power station’s storage facility on Shoreline. This key can be obtained as a quest reward from the quest Nostalgia. 

Primary Spawn Locations

There are three primary spawn locations within the Shoreline map. You can either spawn on the Western side of the Shoreline map close to the swamp, on the Eastern side of the map near Scout tower or Radio Tower, or you can spawn to the North of the Health Resort itself. 

The Most Dangerous Spawn Location

Perhaps the most dangerous spawn location out of the three large spawn areas is the Western side.

This is because in order to obtain worthwhile loot you have to push into the open fields or traverse to the Health Resort both of which put you into the scope of various sniper PMCs or Scavs. 

Easiest Spawn Location

The Easiest Spawn location is on the Northern side of the Resort. This is because not only does it give you quick access to the Health Resort and its various loot possibilities, but you’re also close to the Road to Customs Extract on the Eastern side of the map. 

All Extraction Points within Shoreline Map 

1. Pier Boat Extraction 

This extraction is a PMC only extraction point. The Pier Boat extraction is located at the South edge of the map in the very center, near the lighthouse. If the boat has flashing lights then this extraction is active. 

2. CCP Temporary Extraction 

This is another PMC only extract and is located at the Southeastern corner of the map. In order to tell if this extract is open check the large floodlights, if they are turned on then you can exit from this location. 

3. Road to Customs Extraction 

This is the only extraction on the Shoreline map to be open to both Scavs and PMCs. Additionally, this extract remains open at all times and is found on the Easternmost edge of the map. The only Shoreline map extraction point open to both PMCs and Scavs, this exit remains open at all times.

4. Rock Passage Extraction 

This is another PMC only exit. It will be active for use if there is green smoke near its location. 

5. Tunnels Extraction

Located on the South Western side of the map it is incredibly close to the shoreline. This exit is right next to the Scav’s Ruined Road extract.

Important Locations in Shoreline Map

1. Health Resort

The Resort can be located at the very center of the Shoreline map. It is located to the north of the Power Plant and can be considered to the Northeast of the Estate Area.

It contains many safes with loot in them, and also has drawers, PC Blocks, medical supplies, provisions, electronic loot, weapon cases, and many key spawns. 

2. Power Plant 

This location is also found in the center of the Shoreline map. And is directly to the South of the Health Resort. You can loot a grenade box and keys along with some loose loot within this area. 

3. Gas Station 

The Gas Station is located to the South of the map and is located near the main road that runs very near the shore. There are two weapon boxes here along with a key. 

4. Scav Island a.k.a Loot Island

This is a small island structure that is close to the shore. You can easily orient yourself towards it as it can be found in the South-Western part of the map, to the west of the gas station and further south of the Estates.

There are two possible key spawns in the area- two Toolboxes, two Weapons Boxes, and Medbags.

5. The Village

This location is to the Western part of the map, far west of the Estates, and to the Southwest of the Health Resort. There are weapon boxes, provisions, duffle bags, and jackets in this area. 

6. Radar Tower a.k.a Weather Station

The Tower can be found on the South-Eastern part of the Shoreline map. It is located far closer to its middle. It is also closer to the northeast of the Gas Station. There are Grenade Boxes here, along with two weapon boxes, electronics, and Safes. 

The Boss

The name of the boss in this area is Sanitar. He has the chance to spawn near areas such as the Pier, the Health Resort, and the Cottage area. He has two heavily armed and armored guards with him.
