Fans of pop stars Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are buzzing with excitement after the former couple was spotted kissing at the Coachella Music Festival, fueling rumors of a rekindled romance.
The Canadian singer and the former Fifth Harmony member began dating in July 2019 but announced their split in November 2021.
Coachella Kiss Sparks Reconciliation Rumors
On Friday night, the 24-year-old Stitches hitmaker and the 26-year-old Cinderella star were seen getting cozy while watching a performance together at the Coachella Music Festival.
A video shared by a Mendes fan account on Twitter showed the two wrapping their arms around each other before Mendes leaned down to give Cabello a lingering kiss.
Cabello wore a white bustier top with low-rise denim cargo pants, while Mendes sported a graphic t-shirt with beige pants and a bandana tied around his neck. The pair were also seen together in another clip posted on Twitter by radio station 102.7 KIIS FM, holding drinks and chatting in a crowded area.
Romantic Night Out at Coachella
An eyewitness who spoke to Us Weekly said that Mendes and Cabello arrived together in a group after 6 p.m. and were flanked by bodyguards. The insider revealed that the former couple stayed close throughout the night, trying to stay out of sight in a VIP table.
“They weren’t holding hands, but stayed together all night,” the source said. “They appeared more affectionate later in the evening while watching Nigerian rapper Burna Boy’s performance. Mendes had his arm around her waist as they walked to the stage. Camila was nuzzling her face into Shawn’s shoulders, and they looked like a couple. They also kissed and were making out during Burna Boy’s final song.”

The duo first met in 2014 and were friends for years before they began dating in July 2019. Mendes confirmed their relationship in September of that year after they gave a steamy performance of their chart-topping duet “Señorita” at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Fans are wondering if the kiss at Coachella means that the former couple is giving their relationship another chance. The pair announced their split with a joint statement in November 2021, saying that they had decided to end their romantic relationship but would continue to be best friends.
