The gaming world has been abuzz with rumors and speculations about Persona 6, the next installment in the popular JRPG series. A well-known leaker, known as Midori on Twitter, has recently shared some intriguing updates about the game’s development status and Atlus’ current priorities.
The Leaker: Midori’s Track Record
Midori, who goes by the Twitter handle MbKKssTBhz5, has a proven track record of accurately sharing information about Atlus games. She had previously confirmed the existence of a Persona 3 remake and a Persona 5 tactical RPG spin-off before their official announcements.
Thanks to her apparent connections with Atlus, she has been able to provide fans with regular updates about Persona 6.
Atlus’ Current Focus
According to Midori, Atlus is not currently working on another remake on the same scale as the upcoming Persona 3 Reload, set to release in 2024. However, she mentions that there are four Persona games in total under development, with the main focus being on the rumored Persona 6.
Alongside the Persona 3 remake and Persona 6, Atlus is also working on Persona 5: The Phantom X, announced earlier this year, and Persona Asa.
Persona Asa: A Crossover Game
Midori’s previous leak about Persona Asa suggests that it’s a crossover game featuring elements from all five numbered Persona games, with a projected release window of Q3 2024. She also reveals that a Persona fighting game had been in development for a long time, but it seems to have been put on hold due to the partner studio’s other commitments.
Persona 6: Release Window
As for Persona 6, Midori claims that the game is slated for release within this possible window period, with an official announcement planned for 2024. The Persona Asa spin-off is also expected to be announced within the same timeframe.
While Persona 6 is rumored to be in development, fans eagerly await official confirmation from Atlus.
