Actor Jamie Foxx is currently recovering from a medical complication that forced a halt in filming his latest movie, Back in Action. A representative for the actor has not released any details about his medical state or what led to the emergency.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, made the announcement of her father’s health condition in a statement, where she thanked everyone for their prayers and support.
She also asked for privacy during this time. Since the announcement, several of Foxx’s famous friends and colleagues have offered their well wishes. LeBron James tweeted a message of support. Foxx’s co-star Kerry Washington shared a throwback picture of the two from their movie, ‘Ray’.
Filming of Back in Action resumed on Thursday, with a stand-in used for Foxx, according to sources. The movie had to reconfigure its production schedule after Foxx’s medical emergency caused a delay in filming.

The cancellation of a scene scheduled to be filmed on Sunday will not be rescheduled, but scenes set to be filmed on Monday and Tuesday will go ahead as planned, according to an email from a casting director.
Back in Action is the first big-screen project for actress Cameron Diaz since the 2014 movie, Annie, where she starred alongside Foxx.
The pair had previously been spotted filming scenes for the movie in the English countryside before moving to Atlanta for further filming. Glenn Close is also part of the cast.
Details of Foxx’s medical emergency remain undisclosed, but the actor’s representatives have revealed that he is now stable and recovering.
Foxx, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 movie Ray, is also known for his role in the movie Django Unchained.
He is the father of two daughters, one of whom, Corinne, is an actress and model. In 2016, Foxx played a former U.S. President in the movie Sleepless, where he acted alongside Michelle Monaghan.
Foxx also played the role of the villain in the 2014 The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In addition to his acting career, Foxx is a Grammy-nominated singer and has collaborated with several famous artists throughout his career, including Justin Timberlake and Kanye West.
