How to Make Fermented Spider Eye

Fermented Spider Eye is one of the brewing ingredients in Minecraft. It can be used to brew a potion of invisibility, slowness, harming, and weakness.

Luckily, the material to craft Fermented Spider Eye is fairly easy to obtain and farm.

• 1x Spider Eye
• 1x Sugar
• 1x Brown Mushroom

How to Make a Fermented Spider Eye in Minecraft

Step 1: Collect 1x Spider Eye

Spider Eye is a common drop from Spiders and Cave Spiders mob in Minecraft. They have a 33.33% chance to drop 1x Spider on death, and up to 4x if you have a Looting III enchantment.

Witches also drop 0-6x Spider Eye on death, and this number goes all the way up to 15x Spider Eyes if you have Looting III.

Another way to get Spider Eye is to look for chests in Desert Temples. They have a 28.7% chance to contain 1-3x Spider Eye.

Step 2: Collect 1x Sugar

If you’ve killed some witches in step 1, you may find some Sugars since Witch will drop 0-2x Sugar on death, and up to 5x Sugar if you use a Looting III sword.

Sugar can also be crafted by placing 1x Sugar Cane or 1x Honey Bottle in the crafting grid. They yield 1 and 3 Sugar respectively.

Step 3: Collect 1x Brown Mushroom

Brown mushrooms spawn naturally in Swamp, Taiga, Mushroom Island, and the Nether biome. You can break them with your bare hand to get 1x Brown Mushroom.

If you find a brown mooshroom on the Mushroom Island biome, use Shears on it to obtain 5x Brown Mushroom and turn it into a normal cow.

You can break Brown Mushroom Block which can be generated naturally in the Dark Oak Forest biome. Each block will have a chance to drop 0-2x Brown Mushroom.

Alternatively, you can trade 1x Emerald with the Wandering Trader for 1x Brown Mushroom.

Step 4: Finish off Crafting a Fermented Spider Eye

When you have all the material, press E to open your inventory and place all three ingredients above into the grids to craft 1x Fermented Spider Eye.
