How to Appear Offline on Roblox

Why would anyone want to be offline while playing Roblox? Well unless you’re a new Robloxian with a handful of friends and foes, Roblox is a busy place.

It gets busier if you’ve been on it for a few years or so. Imagine averaging 20 messages and invites within moments of logging on.

We all want peace and fun. Just so, you need to stay off the grid sometimes, even on Roblox.

If you know how to appear offline on Roblox, you must be from RBXNews. But in case you don’t, read on.

But before we go into that, understand what playing Roblox offline means and does not mean.

Can You Appear Offline on Roblox

Despite rumors, and screenshots showing a privacy setting under which you get to toggle the ‘Appear Offline’ button, you cannot appear offline on Roblox.

Because there is no setting like this.

You can head over to Privacy Settings on your account.

If you’re on PC –

1. Navigate to the gear icon on the top right and click.
2. Find Settings and then Privacy.

If you’re playing Roblox Mobile –

1. Find the circle with three dots at the bottom left.
2. Scroll below for Settings
3. Click Privacy.

If you cannot find an ‘Appear Offline’ option, it’s not supposed to be there in the first place.

Roblox is yet to release or add on any such feature. Although it would be pretty handy for many Robloxians who just want to play around by themselves without any comping or simping.

Can You Play Roblox Offline?

Sadly, you can not play Roblox online although we do understand why 

Roblox is less a game and more a gaming platform supporting gamers and creators. Along with Minecraft and a handful of other games, Roblox is a metaverse based on avatars and Lua.

So, whatever you do or undo on Roblox is run on scripts. Multiple scripts connect on servers to interact. This is why you need at least a stable internet connection to play Roblox.

Bottomline

There’s no way how to appear offline on Roblox. At least not yet.

Someday though, a core dev might bring it up and add it on. Till then though, there’s no workaround for this. We can suggest muting convos or staying under the radar or creating a new Roblox avatar.
