Forspoken, the next game from Square Enix, leaked its first hour of gameplay less than a week before its official release!
The first hour of Forspoken, Square Enix’s upcoming action RPG, leaks online, as a limited screen record on a PS5 version of the game. Moreover, fans who want to walk into Forspoken completely blind to the game’s features and unrevealed content should avoid watching the video, as it reveals details about the game’s first hour of gameplay and the first few cutscenes.
What is Forspoken all about?
Forspoken recounts the story of Frey Holland. She is a protagonist from New York City but somehow transports herself into the beautiful but perilous fantasy country of Athia, where the Break torments the land and its residents. Frey, who seems unaffected by the Break, embarks on a mission to rescue Athia from its captivity and return it to its former grandeur.
Don’t get the wrong idea, the YouTube video below isn’t the Forspoken leaked gameplay but the official trailer.
The leak comes from the ResetEra Forums and features Forspoken’s user interface, the game’s early cutscenes, gameplay video, in-game goods, combat, and more. While the video does not reveal much about Forspoken, it does show some featured content in official trailers or screenshots.

When does the game launch?
Forspoken, one of the year’s first major open-world releases, launches on January 24. Fans have been waiting patiently for the action RPG’s release. They can’t wait to get their hands on it and start using the game’s unique magic parkour system and engaging in the game’s magical fighting.
Despite the fact that there is a lot of controversy about Forspoken around the internet due to its high PC system requirements like Returnal, use of Denuvo DRM, late release of review embargo, and more. The hype for the game is still very real for many fans that have pre-ordered the game and have been waiting for quite some time for its release.
We could be seeing a new similar game to Elden Ring in 2023.
