Intelligent Systems’ Fire Emblem Engage, released last year, has received critical acclaim as an anniversary title. The game combines returning Fire Emblem lords with a new cast of characters to defeat the Fell Dragon.
A recent poll in Japan highlights the most popular characters in the game.
Fire Emblem Engage Popularity Poll Background
The poll was conducted by the Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream and took reader responses for approximately two months starting in February.
Participants had 39 characters to choose from, including main character Alear and supporting characters like Princess Ivy, Alfred, and Goldmary.
The magazine shared the rankings of the community’s favorite characters in Fire Emblem Engage.
Top 25 Characters Unveiled
Nintendo Dream listed the top 25 characters, with translations and rank placements provided by Serenes Forest. Clear the Divine Dragon, the player character, took the top spot.
Diamant, the crown prince of Brodia, came in second, and Alfred, the prince of Firene, secured third place.
The top ten also featured fan-favorite characters such as:
- Yunaka
- Alcryst
- Celine
- Sommie.
Other notable characters in the top 25 include:
- Etie
- Lapis
- Anna
- Chloe
- Vander, the game’s Jagen-like character, ranked 25th.
Unfortunately, some characters like Timerra, Zelkov, and Rosado didn’t receive enough votes to place in the top 25, which may disappoint their fans.
Future Polls and DLC Content
Fire Emblem Engage recently released its fourth and final DLC wave, the Fell Xenologue, which introduces alternate versions of allies and enemies, with the villainous Four Hounds faction taking center stage.
Although these characters and other villains were not included in the current poll, there might be a future poll that features them to gauge their popularity post-DLC release.
