It’s hard to believe that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is already 3 years old. It was released in October 2018 and has sold well over 10 million copies. It’s one of the best-reviewed games of the series.

Odyssey carried on what Origins started and are largely responsible for rejuvenating the Assassin’s Creed formula. A formula that was getting a little stale by 2018.

The game received rave reviews from both critics and players.

Now that it’s no longer the newest game in the series it’s actually enjoying renewed interest and can often be found for cheap on different digital shop fronts.

You can check it out on Amazon, Walmart, or Best Buy.

If there is a common criticism of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey however it’s that the game is too long.

It can easily take over 100 hours to complete, especially if you focus on side quests like the  Assassin’s Creed Odyssey eye of Kosmos chain.

Or focus too much on googling decisions like  Ac Odyssey Theodoros or Mestor.

On top of this, leveling up can be a grind. This is a problem when certain areas are essentially gated behind your character’s current level.

Gamers don’t always have huge amounts of spare time to spend on one game and Odyssey is a time sink.

So, to help you out we’ve curated the best tips, hints, and cheats we could find for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to help speed you on your way to Atlantis.

Are there any Assassin’s Creed Odyssey cheat codes?

Are there any Assassin’s Creed Odyssey cheat codes

Let’s start with the bad news. There are no legitimate ways to cheat in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

That’s right. No Assassin’s Creed Odyssey codes. (BUT…)

The game follows a game as a service model. This model is designed to keep you playing for as long as possible and wants you to keep spending money on AC Odyssey. Ubisoft does this by hiding premium weapons and armor sets behind a paywall and by bullying you into paying for XP boosts.

Obviously, Assassin Creed Odyssey cheats would wreck this business model.

This is why the game is so long. The more time you spend playing the higher the chance you keep spending money on the game.

Ubisoft even goes as far as to sell XP boosters for the game. It’s no accident that leveling is a grind.

So, to make sure you’re grinding as long as possible the developers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey didn’t include a single cheat code. Mean!

Luckily there is still one way to employ traditional cheat code, but only if you’re playing on PC.

Install an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cheat Table

Install an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cheat Table

If you want cheats for Assassin’s Creed you can install an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey cheat engine called a table.

But, be warned you’ll be taking a risk.

You need to be careful downloading anything cheat-related. However, our selection seems pretty trustworthy.

All you need to do is visit Fearless Revolution and download the engine.

    Then just,

    1. Install the Cheat Engine
    2. The file type is .CT. Open it by clicking twice
    3. Look for and click the PC icon and select the game process
    4. Activate which cheats (trainers) you want to activate.

There are a ton of cheats for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and you can find a full list of cheat codes for assassin’s creed below,

Anything you could want to speed up your AC Odyssey experience comes as part of the engine and these Assassin’s Creed Odyssey cheats codes should have you covered.

Just make sure to follow all the info on the page to get it working correctly.

    Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Redeem codes

    Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Redeem codes

Unfortunately, if you’re looking for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cheats PS4 or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Cheats Xbox One, you’re out of luck. There are no traditional cheats for the game on consoles.

The closest you’ll come is redeem codes. These are codes that Ubisoft has released as promotions or come with your copy of the game.

These codes can be redeemed on the Ubisoft store for unique items and boosts. You can also have a look online and see to find out if there are any promotional codes floating around.

Unfortunately, most of them are either single-use or expired.

Since the game is getting a little old now, it seems unlikely that Ubisoft will be releasing any more promotional codes.

An example of a code that can still be redeemed however is

    ACOD-KASS-FR31-7406

This nets you the cool Epsilon sword that can’t be found in-game.

    Epsilon sword

Right now, the only option seems to be getting the codes through purchasing the game. If you’re going this route check out the game on Amazon, Walmart, or Best Buy.

The Deluxe and gold editions tend to have the best codes.

    Assassin’s Creed Odyssey XP exploits

Even though there are no cheats for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that doesn’t mean we can’t exploit the game.

Upon release, Ubisoft was pretty speedy when it came to patching any XP exploits savvy gamers found. As we covered earlier that was to make sure you end up spending money on boosters.

However, as they’ve moved on to other games some exploits have been left alone.

This means there are still quick and easy ways to race to the level cap.

    Story Creator Mode

    Story Creator Mode

Go into your in-game settings and enable Story Creator mode. Then, make sure you have linked your Ubisoft Club account to your in-game account.

When these two steps are completed you will have unlocked some creator quests. Many of these only take a few minutes to complete, can be farmed, and reward ridiculous amounts of XP.

Ubisoft took many of them down, but two good options remain, viz. –

Battle in the cursed valley of Pali

Battle in the cursed valley of Pali

Look for a blue exclamation mark on the map, on the most western area of the Kephallonia islands. It’s close to the Cursed Valley of Pali.

All you need to do is kill a few NPC enemies and you’ll get 35,000 XP. If you have decent gear it won’t take long to complete at all.

    Rulodoll In Mount Anos

    Rulodoll In Mount Anos

If you’re tired of fighting and good at multitasking there is an even better option. Especially if you’re just starting.

Once you have the story creator quests set up. Look for an NPC on Mount Anos in Marko’s Vineyard.

Look for the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey dialogue icons.

Once you find him all you need to do is select the first dialogue option and you’ll get 2000 XP.

It’s not a huge amount but you can sit and spam it whilst watching TV or reading a book.

    XP Glitch on PC

    XP glitch on PC

This third exploit comes with a couple of caveats. It’s only available on PC and you’ll have to run an older version of the game.

Namely, it’ll only work on versions 1.21 and under. Later versions have patched the necessary bug.

    • Go into options and change secondary weapon and crouch to the same key
    • Defeat an enemy so that he is down and keep pressing the recruit key over and over
ack up XP for every press of the button
    • As long as you don’t execute your victim you’ll rack up XP for every press of the button
    • Install an auto clicker and you’ll max out your level in no time.

    Free Double XP

    Free Double XP

There is one more nifty little exploit you can use to level up quickly. Even better, it can be used in tandem with the exploits above.

If you visit the Ubisoft Club store whilst in-game you’ll find that they’re generously giving away a 2-hour free XP boost. Double XP is great but it’s not exactly an exploit.

What if I told you can drag that 2 hours out over more than a dozen hours?

All you need to do is keep the boost paused. Then whenever you’re about to turn in a quest or get an XP reward quickly turn the boost back on.

Then as soon as you get the XP stick the boost back on pause.

Doing this will allow you to make that free XP boost last for a lot longer than Ubisoft originally bargained for. It’s especially potent when combined with the story creator quests above.

Final Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Tips from a Fan

Here are some final tips from someone who has spent farrr too much time grinding away on AC Odyssey. Hopefully, these tips will make sure you don’t waste too much time stuck in one place confused!

How to Recover Health in AC Odyssey?

Healing works a little differently here than it did in the older Assassin’s Creed games. Outside of a very early tutorial the game doesn’t make it terribly clear how to regain health.

There are 3 ways to recover lost health in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

This is most often done through health regeneration. Whenever you’re out of combat your health will slowly regenerate on its own.

So, if you’ve just been part of a heavy battle, take a breather before your next fight and your character should be back to fighting shape in no time.

This isn’t a whole lot of use however if you’re getting your butt kicked mid-fight. If you’re in combat there are only two ways to get any lost health back.

Firstly, every time you use an active ability you’ll regain a little bit of health. It’s not much but it’s often enough to keep you in the fight if you’re getting knocked around.

    Second Wind ability

The second method is to use the Second Wind ability. This unlocks at level 5 and allows you to spend 1 adrenaline bar to regain a chunk of health.

Further levels of the ability increase how much health you regain. The main downside is the ability is on a timer. So even if you have full adrenaline you can’t spam heal.

The limitations of Second Wind mean sometimes it’s best to know when to just get out of there. If you’re in a rough spot you can just run, exit battle, and hide and wait for your health to tick back up to full.

It doesn’t take too long and enemy AI is suitably terrible that they’ll give up looking for you pretty quickly.

How to beat Medusa in AC Odyssey?

As long as you stick to areas that match your level, Odyssey ain’t that tough, a grind rather. Even most of the bosses are relatively simple to beat.

How to beat Medusa in AC Odyssey

This means that many players facing Medusa for the first time get a bit of a shock.

Medusa can be a real pain to deal with. This is a long battle in which mobility is key.

Firstly this is one of the few battles where you’ll have to give serious consideration to your loadout.

Medusa moves around a lot so long-ranged weapons are out. Favor short-range weapons that hit hard. Fire and poison element weapons are especially useful.

You’re going to be doing a lot of running in and out of range so maximize every hit you can get in.

Armor wise you need to favor a high health and armor rating. Medusa hits hard and if you’re unprepared she can take you out in a handful of hits.

Even veteran players can find themselves knocked out quickly with one lapse of concentration.

In battle keep moving! Blocking isn’t much use against her attacks so keep rolling and dodging.

    keep rolling and dodging

If she’s hiding behind her shield, focus on her minions, she can’t be hurt during this phase. The minions go down easy and drop arrows.

Whenever she’s not teleporting around, charge in, get a few big hints in, and get out again before she starts hitting back. Treat this like dark souls and don’t get greedy. Going for that one extra hit could cost you everything.

She has three big attacks to watch out for.  Her beam attack will take huge chunks of health and slowly turn you to stone, lowering mobility.

Thankfully it has a long windup. Until it intensifies it’s harmless so just run and hide behind a pillar.

She can also cause aerial blasts that come out of the ground.  They come in trios, so if you see circles forming on the ground, get out of there.

Finally, she has a heavy-hitting unblockable. If she flashes red and rears backward, dodge backward or to the left. Otherwise, you’re going to get grabbed.

Just take it slow. Focus on avoiding her attacks and getting your own in when you can. If you keep calm you will beat her.

Don’t leave the eye of Kosmos too late

Don’t leave the eye of Kosmos too late

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Eye of Kosmos is a super long quest. It unlocks pretty early on and it’ll be one of the last quests you finish.

You find clues and then track down and kill the corresponding cult member. More clues and cult members will unlock as you progress.

Since this quest takes a lot of traveling around it can get pretty boring. It’s also pretty easy to forget about since Odyssey has so much else going on.

Don’t forget about this quest though! Keep checking up on it once in a while. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself cramming it all in towards the end of your time with the game. Doing it this way gets tedious fast.

    Don’t sweat the big decisions

AC Odyssey is more of an RPG than any of the earlier games in the series. It even has some Mass Effect style choices you can make that can alter the story.

Decisions like choosing between Theodoros or Mestor.

If you’re not used to making decisions like these they can be pretty intimidating. No one wants to screw up the ending to a game that’s taken them over 100 hours to complete.

Don’t overthink these decisions so. Go with your gut feeling. Role-playing means putting yourself in the shoes of your character and thinking like them. If you play like this there is no such thing as a good or bad decision.

    Conclusion

So that’s it. Unfortunately, there are very few ways to cheat in AC Odyssey. Ubisoft has done a pretty good job of making sure you’re either stuck grinding or giving them your hard-earned cash.

The PC Cheat Engine is a nice option if you’re on PC but it still doesn’t do much to cut down the length of the game. Even with cheats enabled, main story quests are still time-consuming.

Likewise, the XP exploits are great to level up quickly. But you know what? They’re a lot more boring than playing the game properly.

I leveled up at a decent rate just playing the game as it’s meant to be played. I’m not sure I’d want to spend hours repeating the same old glitch when I could be out there exploring ancient Greece.

You’ll find the games a lot more fun if you focus less and ways to speed it up and just let yourself enjoy the ride.

    FAQs

Does Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ever end?

Eventually! It can feel like a real slog at times though. Just the main story on its own can take around 45 hours.
If you’re looking to do and see everything it’ll be more like 140 hours at least.

Try not to binge it. If you’re getting bored, take a break for a week or two and come back to it later.

Is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey worth buying?

Absolutely. Many fans feel it’s the best in the series. Since it’s no longer the newest game in the series it can often be bought for a bargain to boot.

The storyline is great, although it is annoying that it feels like the true ending is hidden behind the expansions.

Just for value alone, this game will probably take you over 100 hours to complete so it’s pretty good value for money, especially if you pick it up in a sale.

The microtransactions are annoying but no one is forcing you to buy them.
