Starfield Polymer is a 3-star exotic resource that’s very useful for key weapon and armor upgrades and just as rare if not more.
Unless Bethesda patches a bit more Polymer across the planets and vendors, which they should, you will have a hard time getting it. Unless you know where to look.
Here’s the Starfield Polymer guide you need.
Starfield Polymer: Where to Buy
This is one way to get your hands on Polymer. It costs 20 credits, cheap enough considering its rarity.
But the thing is, only a handful of vendors sell it and that too, in ridiculously limited amounts rarely going into double digits.
That and the 24-hour vendor reset make this a must-have if you want to get the best out of Starfield.
Here are some confirmed Polymer vendors in Starfield –
- UC Distribution Center, New Atlantis
- Shepherd’s Store, Akila City
- UC Exchange, Cydonia
- Dietrich Sieghart, Neon
- Jameson Mercantile, New Atlantis
- Jane’s Goods, Cydonia
- Newill’s Goods, Neon
- Fast Hoang in Valo
- Duncan Lynch in Cheyenne
The best way to farm Polymer to buy is fast traveling between the vendor and your bed for some good sleep!
How to Farm Polymer on Other Planets?
There’s no way to mine it. But you can get (loot) Polymer from flora and fauna.
Here’s one.
Head over to Zeta Ophiuchi I. Land on the forest biome, that’s the other side of the planet marked Deciduous Forest. Run around and loot Polymer right off Aruna Goldenglow plants (they’re the tall golden plants).
This is a hidden secret so spread the word! Credit to Youtuber Rodwenn.
Here’s another.
Head on over to Muphrid IV. Land at the LZ towards the bottom half of the planet. You’ll find a lot of brown Clawback Herbivores around. Shoot and loot for a polymer each.
Next, travel to Alpha Ternion III. Land in the Chlorine Forest close to the 2nd LZ in the bottom hemisphere. Look for the Spitting Pokeweed (that’s what it is) and get some more easy Polymer.
These are the best places and ways to get Starfield Polymer so far. While there may be other planets with Polymer, I’m yet to find out and when I do, I’ll add it right here.
What is Best Way to Get Polymer in Starfield?
Buying Polymer with credits is easy but it’s a hard grind. Vendors reset every 24 hours and by the time you cover all possible vendors, you’ll have to sleep of plenty more for the next reset.
The best way is farming Polymer from plants. That takes time too but at least your making your way through the planets and maybe along the way you get your hands on even more resources. I’ll just taking VASCO along all the way.
