Sony confirms that God of War: Ragnarok will be showing in an announcement or ad during the upcoming Super Bowl LVII this Sunday!
Super Bowl LVII is going to take place on Sunday, February 12 between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, and it appears like Kratos and/or Thor, from God of War: Ragnarok, will be in attendance.
Sony’s announcement this Sunday
Sony announces the appearance of God of War: Ragnarok and sent confirmations on its PlayStation Canada Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Moreover, Sony’s God of War Ragnarok at Super Bowl LVII may seem out of place, given that the game came out over a year ago, but the Super Bowl is notorious for its abundance of ads.
Moreover, ads for Breaking Bad and Scream 6 have already aired, while commercials for Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime drink and The Flash will air during the Super Bowl as well.
In light of this, Sony’s confirmation of its own showing linked to one of its largest releases in 2022 is hardly shocking.
What could be the announcement all about?
Given that God of War Ragnarok’s director Eric Williams has said that the studio was not planning any DLC because it had already crammed as much content as it could into the massive main game, it seems unlikely that this has anything to do with DLC.
New Game Plus for God of War: Ragnarok might appear, although a simple advertisement for the game is more possible.
Though, it’s highly likely that Kratos will join again in Super Bowl given that the God of War PS5 Bundle is already out and available for purchase.
