The second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will feature new 6v6 maps!
Activision states that Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will have new maps, game modes, and weapons.
However, the 6v6 maps are returning from the first season. On February 15, Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will bring over a slew of improvements over the 2022 originals.
Other features coming as well
The Gulag, for instance, will now include one-on-one fights in Warzone 2, with three-plate armor vests for all participants by default.
Additionally, Activision is adjusting the progression of bonus and ultimate perks in Modern Warfare 2 to make it such that players can get them at a much quicker rate.
And while we now know for sure what modes and maps will be included in Modern Warfare 2, the news isn’t all good.
Modern Warfare New 6v6 Maps
Based on what we can gather from the official Call of Duty website, the two 6v6 maps that will come to Modern Warfare 2 are not fresh new levels.
Dome, the first map introduced to the core 6v6 playlist, is based on a map from Modern Warfare 3 and has appeared in past Call of Duty games.
The leak about Valderas Museum being the second 6v6 map for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in Season 2 was accurate.
Users who did not participate in the MW2 test may get mad to learn that the Valderas Museum map, which was available during the beta phase, was not part of the final product.
Since Dome is a remake and Valderas Museum was in MW2 before its release, neither of these maps is new.
Additionally, Modern Warfare 2 will include the battle maps Zaya Observatory and Al Malik International for the Ground War and Invasion game modes.
This is still a win for players since there were rumors circulating online that Season 2 might get delayed for whatever reason.
Some fans complained that the museum area was too big for 6v6 gaming during the test event, so it would be interesting to see if Activision has made any tweaks to the layout.
However, before this massive MW2 came to life, we had Call of Duty 3, and here’s our review.
