Minecraft Legends will bring the original to the next level with PVPs and more!
Minecraft Legends will have an online player against player mode, and developer Mojang discussed it in detail.
The action-strategy game Minecraft Legends is based on Mojang’s original Minecraft, an open-world survival and crafting game.
Mojang revealed the game’s online PvP option during today’s Xbox Developer Direct, and it looks like it’s going to be fun!
Minecraft Legends gameplay trailer
The piglins are the game’s primary villains, and they’re responsible for the Nether’s danger to the Overworld. Here’s how Mojang defines it:
“Inspire unexpected friends to form valuable alliances and lead them in strategic battles to protect their home. Take the fight to the piglins before their Nether corruption devours the Overworld!”
It appears that the goal of the game is to prevent this “legend” from coming true by defeating the piglins.
The trailer highlights the game’s villains — piglins. Their goal is to “spread the scourge of greed and fire” by seizing power.
In the same way that the avatar is called a hero in Minecraft Dungeons, their call must be answered.
Minecraft Legends will also gives you a glimpse at some new mobs, which appear to be new iterations of current Nether species.
Hoglins appear to form into cube-shaped monsters that are both dangerous and fast.
The cinematic sections of the trailer are intercut with brief glimpses of what appears to be Dungeons-like gameplay with an animated art style.
However, the trailer failed to provide a specific release date. Almost nothing is known about the game, however, a few things are. To add some intrigue, Mojang isn’t doing it alone.
Fortunately, Mojang confirms the release date on April 18, 2023, in a tweet.
While their individual creative visions have driven their prior works, they will be working together on Legends.
Canadian developer Blackbird Interactive, who worked on Minecraft: Earth, will also be working on this new game.
Game Platforms
Before the game’s release, several platforms confirm publishing Minecraft Legends.
- Microsoft Windows
- Nintendo Switch
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X/S
Although it’s presently unknown whether or not the game will support many platforms, this is a high possibility due to the presence of such capabilities in similar titles.
Even though Story Mode is generally overlooked, this is Mojang’s third foray outside of their flagship game. More details are expected to surface as the release date approaches.
