Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has appeared on the PlayStation Store, which has led fans to believe that a new trailer or release date information will be released soon. The wishlist page for the game appeared on the UK PlayStation Store before it was taken down after fans brought it to Twitter’s attention, but you can still see what the listing looked like from the tweet below.
People are unwilling to accept that the page’s appearance coincided with the release of the trailer by Sony for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the follow-up to the 2018 animated picture.
When is the Spider Man 2 Release Date?
This remastered edition of the Spider-Man series from Insomniac Games comes after Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). A teaser trailer for the new game was released in September of last year, but from an assurance from Insomniac that a 2023 release date is still the plan, there haven’t been many updates on the game since then. The official PlayStation shop website didn’t contain any new details, but the fact that it was removed so soon indicates that Sony isn’t yet prepared to make any statements regarding the game.
Many other characters appeared in the original Spider-Man game and its DLC, including Doctor Octopus and the lesser-known Spider-Man foe Mister Negative. Additionally, the game found a way to incorporate Norman Osborn, Kingpin, Silver Sable, Vulture, Electro, and Rhino into its intricate plot. A post-credits sequence that appears after you finish the game establishes a connection between Oscorp and a black material that resembles a web. But the voice actor who plays Norman Osborn has said he won’t appear in the follow-up.
