Dragons are one of the coolest mobs in Minecraft. They’re big, they’re wrong, and they breathe fire! What’s not to love?
Dragons are one of the rarest and most dangerous mobs in Minecraft. They are large, aggressive, and can fly. If you see a dragon, it is best to avoid it. However, if you are brave enough to tame one, you will be rewarded with a powerful ally.
It can be a fun and rewarding experience, but it also requires patience, practice, and some knowledge of the dragon’s behavior.
Here’s a guide on how to do it in both the Java/Microsoft addition of Minecraft and the Bedrock version of the game.
What You Need to Tame a Dragon in Minecraft
- x20+ Raw Food (Fish or Meat)
- x1 Saddle – These can be found in looting chests across the world.
How to Tame a Dragon in Minecraft?
Step 1. Find a Dragon
First, you must find a dragon in the wild and make sure it is not already tamed.
Once you have found a suitable dragon, begin to lure it towards you by feeding it some of your food. It may take several tries before your dragon starts to trust you enough to approach you on its own.
Step 2. Put the Saddle on the Dragon
Once the dragon is close to you, open your inventory and select the saddle.
Right-click on the dragon to put the saddle on it. Now, you will need to wait for the dragon to eat some more food and enter a sleep state.
Step 3. Get on your new Dragon and fly
Once the dragon is asleep, right-click on it again to mount it.
You are now ready to ride your dragon! Use the WASD keys to control the dragon’s movement.
You can make it fly by holding down the spacebar. To dismount, press the shift key.
You can now use your dragon to explore the world, or even fight other players.
Dragons are a valuable asset in Minecraft, so make sure to take care of your new friend.
How to Tame a Dragon on Bedrock Version of Minecraft?
Step 1. Find a Dragon.
Firstly, you need to find a dragon. They can be found in the End dimension, or by using an ender dragon egg.
Step 2. Deplete the Dragon’s HP
Once you’ve found a dragon, you need to get close to it and start hitting it with your weapon.
The dragon will eventually get angry and start attacking you. Keep hitting the dragon until its health bar is depleted to about 20% of its total HP.
Once the dragon’s health is depleted, it will enter a weakened state and you’ll be able to tame it.
Step 3. Tame the Dragon
To tame a dragon, you will need to have some raw fish or raw porkchop in your inventory. Simply right-click the dragon to begin feeding it, and continue doing this until its health bar is full.
Once the dragon is tamed, you can give it a name and then can right-click it once again to get on your new Dragon friend.
If you are looking for a powerful and fearsome companion in Minecraft, taming a dragon is definitely the way to go! Good luck with your adventures!
