GTA 6 is back in top gaming news with GTA V hitting 10 years and fans expecting some news on the next iteration.
But Rockstar remained tight-lipped about it since February 2022 when they officially confirmed active development of the next Grand Theft Auto.
We have a lot of GTA 6 leaks to cover but here, I’ll just be sticking to some probable features of the GTA 6 map.
GTA 6 Map Leaks
A fan hacked into Rockstar’s systems just to check up on the GTA 6 dev team and leaked a big bunch of digitals on the web.
Rockstar did not find it amusing. They completely owned up to it, put in place copyright strikes and took the hacker to court.
Considering their seriousness, those leaks were as original as the upcoming game and they did give some of us an idea of the GTA VI map.
Just yesterday, even more ‘leaks’ surfaced showing high-res graphics of both GTA 6 characters in the game environment and some tips on the key map features.
GTA 6 Map: Project Americas
Vice City or at least a new Miami-based city design looks most likely based on leaked clips.
Every confirmed GTA 6 leak backs this up, starting from the new female playable character of Latin American descent to the in-map objects (a lot of palm trees).
Rockstar might be cashing in on the huge nostalgic value of Vice City.
As long as they pull it off, all’s good.
GTA 6 Map Size
The GTA 6 map will surely be the largest GTA map yet.
With games getting larger, Rockstar must follow suit and I’m sure they will.
South American Locations
Since RDR1, Rockstar’s been running off to Latin American locations consistently.
Like a lot of fans, I’m sure that’s how it’s going to be for GTA 6 too.
I’m thinking Mexico or Colombia or both.
Huge Interactive Open-World
10 years down from GTA V, this upcoming GTA will also be built on RAGE like GTA V and GTA 4 before that. But considering the required scale, we might see RAGE 10 debuting alongside GTA 6.
For a game that’s supposedly releasing as late as 2025 and the likes of Starfield already raising the bar high, Rockstar has stiff competition.
We can expect a more interactive open-world with a lot more things to do than GTA V allowed for, even with mods. You may get to enter more buildings, interact with more objects, do a bunch of character activities, etc.
So far there’s no official GTA 6 map leak that can be confirmed first up to speculate on what’s coming. Rockstar is surely not letting anything else slip through that’ll take away the mojo. But all said, the GTA VI map will be bigger, more interactive, and it’ll start from Vice City. We’d like that.
