Goat Simulator 3 Ad really, literally, simulated a leak of GTA 6, and I’d say it wasn’t worth it.
Developers that need a sales bump may do no better than to remind potential customers throughout the Christmas season that their games exist.
This week, the development team behind the Goat Simulator trilogy took on that challenge by releasing a brand new advertisement for the third and final game in the trilogy. Sadly, a takedown notice caused that ad to be removed from the internet before it could ever be seen by anyone.
Who issued to take down the Goat Simulator 3 Ad?
Take-Two Interactive is the company that issued the takedown notice, which ultimately led to the new Goat Simulator 3 ad being removed. There was a segment of the advertisement that followed the day-to-day activities of a nice NPC by the name of Shaun. During this time, Shaun found himself in a situation where he was surrounded by the stolen film from Grand Theft Auto 6.
A dauntless, controversial act
The Goat Simulator 3 ad wasn’t on the air for long enough for us to watch it in its entirety, but we heard it was funny, especially the bit where Shaun is tossed into Grand Theft Auto 6. There was never any doubt that when the advertisement was live, Take-Two would act swiftly to get it removed.
As the creators of Goat Simulator 3, Coffee Stain North probably knew all about the potential dangers, those who saw the commercial before it was pulled down by Take-Two thought it was hilarious, but the studio must have considered the repercussions after. The only issue that remains is whether or not offending one of the largest video game studios in the world was worth the attention that Goat Simulator 3 will receive in the following days.
Meanwhile, the only issue that remains on your end is that you still have to wait for GTA 6 — and to fix that, here are top mods in GTA V that make it worth the patience.
