There is a lot happening in the show, so we have created a list of the important characters and their current situations. Take a moment to read through this list to refresh your memory before watching more Ginny & Georgia on Netflix.
Georgia Miller – Brianne Howey in the present day, Nikki Roumel as teenage Georgia
She is newly engaged to the recently reelected mayor of Wellsbury, Georgia. However, her happiness is short since she discovers that her children had run away and stolen the motorcycle on the same night as the election. Despite the pain caused by their departure, she remains optimistic and determined to move forward. As the new “mayoress,” she plans her dream wedding while also facing the challenge of people trying to uncover her past and ruin her future.
Virginia “Ginny” Miller – Antonia Gentry
After she steals the bike from Marcus to go away from the town, her only goal is to go as far as she can and escape from her mother. However, she can not escape from her life so easily. She still wants to be with Marcus and to be with her friends. Those are typical teenage desires. She is feeling a lot of pain because of the disturbing information she learned about Georgia. She was isolated and traumatized. However, she got the courage to ask someone she trusted to help her.
Austin Miller – Diesel La Torraca
Austin, a kind and creative kid, struggled to adapt to life in Wellsbury. However, the most heart-wrenching discovery for him was that his father never received the numerous letters he had sent, and the responses he had received were all forged by Georgia. This shocking revelation led him to run away with his sister, and his world was turned upside down. In Season 2, when he returned to his regular life, he experienced unexpected transformations in his social life and his relationship with his father.
Marcus Baker – Felix Mallard
Despite Ginny stealing his motorcycle, Marcus, a moody artist, still loves her. She inspires him and brings brightness to his life, but unfortunately, his inner demons cannot be chased away.
Maxine “Max” Baker – Sara Waisglass
Max is feeling down and upset. She is still struggling to move on from her ex Sophie’s rejection and feels even more lonely after finding out about Ginny and Marcus’ relationship. As a result, she is ignoring them and Abby, who knew about it but didn’t tell her. Some may think that Max is overreacting a bit as she dwells on her sense of betrayal. It’s fair to say that she tends to be a bit dramatic at times.
Ellen Baker – Jennifer Robertson
In Season 1, Georgia’s neighbor and friend, Ellen, becomes angry with Georgia for not telling her about Marcus and Ginny. As a result, Ellen ends their friendship. In Season 2, both women miss spending time together during their wine nights, but the theft of Marcus’ motorcycle further strains their relationship.
Mayor Paul Randolph – Scott Porter
Paul, who has won his reelection, is excited to fulfill his campaign promises and marry his lively fiancée. He is making a genuine effort to bring their families together by attempting to connect with Georgia’s children and introducing her to his affluent New England family (who are not as easily impressed as he was). Additionally, he continues to discover new things about his future wife, some of which are pleasant and others not so much.
Joe – Raymond Ablack
In Season 1, Joe sees a familiar pair of aviators and realizes that Georgia is the same teenage girl he shared a sandwich with 16 years ago. He develops a crush on her but tries to resist his feelings in Season 2. Instead, he focuses on running his Blue Farm Café and attempts to date, other people.
Nick – Dan Beirne
Although they won the election, Paul’s campaign manager Nick remains ambitious and shows no signs of relaxing. He frequently argues with Georgia, whom he distrusts due to evidence of her embezzlement. Nick also continues to love his partner, Jesse, unaware that Jesse is actually Gabriel Cordova, a private investigator.
Abby – Katie Douglas
During Season 1, Abby accidentally stumbled upon Ginny and Marcus embracing each other but chose to keep it to herself. This decision has caused Max to become angry with Abby for not sharing what she knew, while Abby is upset with Ginny for placing her in that situation. Abby is currently dealing with tension at home and body image problems without any distractions from friends.
Norah – Chelsea Clark
MANG is now reduced to only MN as Max is still angry with Ginny and Abby. Even Norah, the peacekeeper, can’t keep the exclusive teen crew together. However, Norah’s life remains largely the same as she still maintains her friendship with Max and her love for Jordan.
Hunter Chen – Mason Temple
Hunter was a devoted boyfriend who truly loved Ginny. The dissolution of their relationship was tough on him. To work through his complicated feelings, he turned to music in the days that followed.
Zion Miller – Nathan Mitchell
In Season 1, Ginny urgently called for Zion’s help. He decided to become more involved in his daughter’s life, despite his on-and-off relationship with Georgia being over. He temporarily stopped his traveling lifestyle to settle in Boston. In Season 2, he receives some unexpected guests.
PI Gabriel Cordova/“Jesse” – Alex Mallari Jr.
Cordova was hired by Kenny’s ex-wife to investigate Georgia’s potential role in her husband’s death. In the first season, Cordova tried to extract information from Ginny but was unsuccessful. However, his questioning did bring to light one of Georgia’s dark secrets. In the second season, despite Kenny’s body disappearing, Cordova remains in Wellsbury and continues to investigate the Miller family. He goes by the name “Jesse” and begins dating Nick to have an excuse for being around. Cordova is convinced that there is a bigger story to uncover.
Gil Timmins -Aaron Ashmore
In Season 1’s conclusion, Ginny discovered Austin’s unsent letters to his dad, which Georgia had replied to on his behalf. Ginny then sent them to their proper recipient, who was never actually imprisoned in Azkaban. In Season 2, Georgia’s ex-boyfriend Gil makes his first in-person appearance. He claims he wants to spend time with his son, but she remains suspicious of him, possibly with good cause.
Cynthia Fuller – Sabrina Grdevich
Cynthia’s loss in the mayoral election did not affect her for long as she has a more pressing matter to attend to – her husband’s declining health. She feels helpless and lonely in this situation. You may know Grdevich from various Canadian shows such as Slings & Arrows, Intelligence, and Kim’s Convenience or recognize her voice from her role as Sailor Pluto in Sailor Moon.
Bracia – Tameka Griffiths
After the MANG split, Ginny is spending more time developing her friendship with Bracia. Bracia has a desire to play the lead role in the upcoming school musical and is also interested in one of her classmates.
Sophie Sanchez – Humberly Gonzalez
Max is struggling with their breakup, but Sophie seems to be doing well. She is thriving and posting attractive photos, which may be difficult for Max to see.
Padma – Rebecca Ablack
After ending her arrangement with Marcus, who was just a friend with benefits, Padma focuses on her music and secures a new job.
Jordan – Colton Gobbo
Although MANG may have disbanded, Jordan’s faithful relationship with Norah remains steadfast.
Brodie – Tyssen Smith
Friendship circles change over time, but one constant is the enjoyment of gathering in Brodie’s basement to smoke weed and have fun.
Matt Press – Damian Romeo
Although Press is often unkind to Abby, Jordan, Brodie, and Hunter still choose to spend time with him despite his unpleasant behavior.
